You have to scroll back miles on a date of birth form to find your year of birth🤪

You remember pound notes!

Tookeffort81 · 27/04/2023 10:16

A sunny day excited you because you know you’ll be able to wash and dry a few laundry loads

You remember pound notes!

You’ve made me feel young!

BeggyMitchell · 27/04/2023 10:17

You remember using libraries to look up information 👀.

Roselilly36 · 27/04/2023 10:21

Oh yes, finding my year of birth, is like the wheel of fortune! And yes £1 pound paper notes, internet, fax machines, telly before remote controls!

Other things I have noticed, young people out not wearing a coat in very cold weather, I used to do that! How young policeman, drs look, and other professionals look, look the ages of my DS’

rose69 · 27/04/2023 10:28

The oof sound as you get up from the sofa.

Feeling great full to be still clinging onto a younger age category on survey forms.

caringcarer · 27/04/2023 10:29

The person seating you at a restaurant says I'll seat you here you won't have far to walk to the bathroom. 🤷

Walkerbean16 · 27/04/2023 10:31

It's my birthday today and I asked for plants!

AuntieDolly · 27/04/2023 10:32

Things from your childhood are in museums and you go round the displays saying "we had one of those".

My3cents1 · 27/04/2023 10:33

@Walkerbean16 Happy Birthday, wishing you a lovely day 💐.

Always4Brenner · 27/04/2023 10:36

When you’ve been a patient at hospital for 22 years I mean outpatient and surgery’s and a nurse says when you first came here I was 2, now that did make feel old. Never mind the arthritis.

Plottingspringescape · 27/04/2023 10:38

You work with several people young enough to be your children.

SeaToSki · 27/04/2023 10:40

Your pubes are going grey 🤣

Pound notes are nothing. I remember pre decimal coins! 🦖

I remember threepenny bits. And farthings.

When your kids bought a house, calling it a project, a fixer-up that's not liveable till its completely renovated. Then you see the photos and it looks exactly like your parents' living room in 1983.

MyLifeIsFullOfLemons · 27/04/2023 10:52

You are one of the oldest people in your work building and most of the staff there are now younger than your DC!

JuneShitfield · 27/04/2023 10:52

The GP starts inserting a ‘probably’ when trying to reassure. ‘It’s probably nothing…’

You remember pound notes!

I see your quid and, er, raise you a ten bob note.

Never mind co-workers young enough to be your kid, your manager is... I probably started my job before he was born.

But I don't go 'oof' getting out of chairs!Grin

Ichosetheredpill · 27/04/2023 10:53

Getting excited about buying a new salad spinner or vacuum cleaner. Both of which made me very happy.

CoCoJones26 · 27/04/2023 11:04

When that £1.00 bar of dairy milk is now £1.50, and thinking..." that's a an increase of ten shillings!"

Thelnebriati · 27/04/2023 11:06

Your kids look at you baffled when you use words like 'shilling', and it turns out they think it means 'swindling'.

How old are your kids?

Charlottewebsbabies · 27/04/2023 11:12

When a song comes on the radio and you remember it came out 'last week'
Then someone points out it came out in 1993-yes last week!
Your colleagues just look at you like your a dinosaur

Same colleagues are younger than your own kids

When you point out your old toys in a museum-and the kids just look at you

Being asked by the kids if you knew dick Turpin,Queen Victoria, the dinosaurs or 'was the world black and white when you where little'

Being asked to bring your birth certificate to work-and yours is the only written one-everyone else's is printed

Walking along the street, minding your own and your knee just gives way and you land on your nose
