Coronation concert tickets

I’ve had an email from Ticketmaster saying I’ve won two tickets to the coronation concert. The email says they are first come first served, and if they aren’t claimed by 12 PM on the 27th they will be reallocated. I clicked on the link and it says there are no tickets available. I don’t understand, how can they be first come first served but also held until a certain date? Have they all already been claimed or is the website down for some reason or watt? Anybody shed any light on this?

i’ll be a bit pissed off if they are all already gone. I only received the email about 30 minutes ago.

Apparently Ticketmaster on Twitter have said all the tickets went in a few minutes. What was the point of entering a ballot for tickets if winning the ballot doesn’t mean you actually get any? What an absolute shitshow.

They’re all gone, I got it too. The email is very poorly worded, but reading between the lines these tickets were supplementary and so were first come first served in a queue.

Ridiculous that they even had supplementary tickets in this way. I was sure that it said if people don’t claim their tickets then they’ll be randomly allocated to someone else who had applied and it continues that way until they’re all gone - so emailing everyone that entered, telling them they’ve been successful when they actually haven’t is disgusting from ticketmaster!

That is absolutely dreadful! There was a ballot, we were told we had until 27 April to claim them. Have they really cocked it up so badly?

I broke news to husband and tried hard to claim .Registered for ticket Master. They have to be sued over this.

Don't want to disappoint husband and leave him high and dry .won't tell him today as he is in such amazing mood and even called his mom and friendsHmm

Hi, same here. I acted very quickly, as the email suggested. My only delay was in being responsible and double-checking with my guest if she still wants to attend before following the "claim your ticket" link, only to find out that the tickets have gone in just a few minutes. The "supplementary" round on a first come first served basis though? Doesn't that defy the whole idea of a lottery? :-)

Same! It’s really annoying as it says congratulations, you get excited and then none left. What was the point of a ballot if it was going to be a first come first serve!

i’m absolutely furious. The way they’ve done it is disgusting. If they had said there were a certain number of tickets that would be available on X date at X time at least people could have been ready to try and get them, but this way there was no chance. I received the email at 12:17, clicked on the link and they were already gone. I don’t suppose all the emails landed at the same time, so even if we’d known the emails were coming, the vast vast majority of people would still have had no chance. I’m so pissed off, it has left a very nasty taste indeed.

Yes, very annoying. I got the email at 12pm today, joined the queue just 10mins later only to find no tickets available. Disappointing!

Annoyingwurringnoise, I received the email at 12.07pm and the tickets were done by 12.10pm. So if you received your email at 12.17 they never even gave you a chance to claim your ticket and there was no point sending out that congratulatory email in the first place. What a shitshow..

Same here. Absolutely furious. What was the point in the e mail if they had sold out anyway. I got the e mail at 1217 and joined a few mins later

Yep I got it too and so did 2 people I know. I'm really annoyed with the way it's been carried out. I got the email at 12.04, tried to log on and was in a queue instantly of over 2000 people.
I don't think it's been carried out fairly, correctly or as advertised so I've emailed for clarification but I've just got the automatic reply saying it was a supplementary allocation or something.

Forgot to say even when I got to the front of the queue and tried to claim the tickets it wouldn't let me put them in my basket, and I didn't get them.

Same. Got the email at 12:04. Clicked the link & it said they’d all gone. There wasn’t even a queue to join. V disappointed.

Same here. It gives you a window to claim but then say they've all gone! Twitter was in uproar.
