It still feels so chilly and it’s forecast to be two degrees next week in the night where I am… what on earth!

Yes 😭😭😭.

AllthetimeYou · 19/04/2023 17:45

Yes!! I'm freezing. My FB memories are showing me having drinks outside the last few years 😔

sittingonacornflake · 19/04/2023 17:46

Yes remember hot hot lockdown 1 was!

ErrolTheDragon · 19/04/2023 17:48

I'd have said this was a pretty normal April mix.

hexsnidgett · 19/04/2023 17:49

It's pretty warm here, the cat is lazing in the sunshine.

Oh I loved that time! We were lucky enough to have a lovely garden and spend loads of time out there.

Highs of 9 degrees here on Monday and Tuesday, it's ridiculous!

I’m in the south and the forecast between Friday and next Thursday is just cloud every single day!
Sun came out today but decided to bring a really cold wind with it so I was back in my thermals and coat.

mrssanchez · 19/04/2023 18:05

It's beautiful in Yorkshire, DS has been out in the sandpit in a t shirt today!

EssexMamisoa · 19/04/2023 18:09

Keep taking my pram gloves off the pram thinking “oh we’ve finally hit spring” and then having to put them back on two days later 😡

coffeecupsandwaxmelts · 19/04/2023 18:10

Gorgeous here in Cumbria - 16 degrees and sunny since Monday. I had a riding lesson in a t-shirt yesterday Grin

OldTinHat · 19/04/2023 18:10

I'm glad it's still cold! I was hoping to be thinner by now but I'm still fat and happy to hide under layers!

Bandanadrama · 19/04/2023 18:10

Climate change !

Ozgirl75 · 19/04/2023 18:12

I actually don’t mind the temperature (although would prefer it a bit warmer), It’s the lack of sun that’s such a bummer.

justasoul · 19/04/2023 18:13

Do you know that feeling when you go to holiday in a hot place and the heat hits you as you step out of the plane? I had the reverse yesterday coming back. The cold! 🥶

it’s a lot nicer today where I am, sunny and mid-teen temperatures.

usernother · 19/04/2023 18:13

Not always. I remember it snowing in April previously

Plump82 · 19/04/2023 18:13

Yes. My birthday is this weekend and for the last 5 or 6 years I've been in a beer garden or someone's garden celebrating (can't remember what it was like years prior to this) this will be the first year in a while I won't be doing this. Glad it was my 40th last year and I managed a party in my sister's lovely garden!

00100001 · 19/04/2023 18:14

I'd say it was about the same? Quite a variation really

Isn’t the weather usually better this time of year?
DinosApple · 19/04/2023 18:16

The may (hawthorn flower) is out round here though... But if the old saying means the month we've got a bit longer to go.

It's pretty normal for April but chillier than the last few years. I love a warm spring, but the wind is hindering any warmth the sun has given today.

Northernsoullover · 19/04/2023 18:16

Last year wasn't great nor 2021. 2020 was lovely.

CriticalAlert · 19/04/2023 18:16

Yup it's a lot chillier than it's been over the past few years. The forecast for the whole of May is dreadful. I just hope we're not going to get one of those shite grey. wet summers. I can't bear the bear the thought of another winter.....

stargirl1701 · 19/04/2023 18:17

It's been gorgeous here in Perthshire this week. Wall to wall sunshine and 14 degrees!

Beaverbridge · 19/04/2023 18:37

Been sunny in Central Scotland last few days. Granddaughter went to nursery minus wooly tights!

God I can’t stand a grey summer it’s so utterly depressing, waking up to grey skies every day really saps the life out of me, I too don’t mind cool temperatures so long as the sun is shining.

Ozgirl75 · 19/04/2023 18:48

The last time we lived over here we had a shit wet summer and although it didn’t make us emigrate, it didn’t help. Now we’ve just come back for a year and it’s crap again! So blame me really.
