My favourite lip balms have been discontinued

I have been using Kiehl's Butterstick Lip Treatment and Aveda's Lip Saver for years. I'm loyal. Now, Kiehl's has discontinued the stick in favour of a squeeze tube product and Aveda has changed their formula dropping the spf. (?!).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good lip balm in a stick with spf?
Any anyone else with a similar situation of trying to replace a beloved product?

@Desperatelyseekingcommonsense
I scoured their site - no spf products.

Hope it’s not being discontinued. You can get it at Holland and barrett

I've always bought Maybelline tinted lip balm, Babylips, but can't see it anywhere now. Nivea do a similar one, but it's not as good.

That’s disappointing about the sun bum one - I was going to order some this week. I’ve started using their Glow spf for face and it’s a lovely pick me up on gloomy days. Guess I’ll try some of the other lip recommendations here instead.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 11/10/2023 17:28

@Shangrilalala yeah, sunbum smells great, but is way too creamy and comes off in minutes.

Cannot fathom why a long-wearing lip balm in a stick with spf is so difficult to find. 🤷‍♀️

I messaged with Kiehl's and the person said no reason was given for dropping their product.

Thank you for the updates - I am so disappointed about the discontinuation but appreciate the thread and updates

Big fan of the Burts Bees ones, especially the cucumber and mint.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 15/12/2023 19:30

@CoatOfArms fyi, I have done a bit of reading about minty lip balms... found they are actually drying. So, keeps you in the cycle of re-applying (buying?). 🤔

@AnnieCBtn it's a boring thread, too, isn't it? 😁 I've kept on with lanolin at night (it's Medela nipple salve!) and have Blistex I use here and there during the day.

Staying well-hydrated does seem to help as well.

Just to update: still using lanolin nipple cream on my lips. Works really well! It's a nice gloss for day, too. 😁

For everyone wondering how I've managed the past two years 🤣 I recently bought Paula's Choice lip balm with spf. It's pretty good, but not nearly as good as the two originally posted about. So, I'm still looking!
