I'm going to kick things off with Cheesestrings, SunnyD, Skips and Frubes.

OP posts:
SweetPetrichor · 15/04/2023 12:22

SunnyD! I was desperate to try it when I was a child and was so disappointed to find it tasted gross!

HeadacheEarthquake · 15/04/2023 12:23

Supernoodles Sad

AutisticLegoLover · 15/04/2023 12:23

Skips are great! I never succumbed to peer pressure over anything though.

dietcokelime · 15/04/2023 12:25

Lunchables 🤢

Needtobuildabridge · 15/04/2023 12:27

Oh my, I love all the foods mentioned so far 😳
Free pass because I'm pregnant?!

Mendholeai · 15/04/2023 12:27

Beer 🤮

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 15/04/2023 12:29

DH and I shared a bag of skips a few weeks ago. We both agreed once you finish chewing you don't swallow anything. It sort of disappears in your mouth 😂

StrugglingWeight · 15/04/2023 12:29

None of those are disgusting

I was expecting this to be like weird combinations or like worms or something not just everyday childhood foods!

Thats what makes them great, they're so melty

AliceTheeCamel · 15/04/2023 12:31

Cider

ClashCityRocker · 15/04/2023 12:31

Dr pepper.

For some reason this was what all the cool kids drank at school so I persisted throughout my teens despite it tasting like fizzy marzipan.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 15/04/2023 12:31

Hate all squash drinks. Awful.

Cheap sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, scotch eggs etc.

Dairrylee

Never tasted Supernoodles, Sunny D, Frubes or Cheese Steings

PussBilledDuckyPlait · 15/04/2023 12:33

Nothing 'disgusting'. I've eaten things I don't personally like to avoid giving offence to the person who was kind enough to prepare them for me, as I'm sure most of us have.

Some of my mum's cooking was (objectively) pretty disgusting when I was a child but that wasn't a case of peer pressure or even my mum forcing me to have it, just that if I didn't eat it I'd go hungry!

AgnesX · 15/04/2023 12:35

Diamond White.

Once and once only. It took me a week to recover. I still remember it 30 years later.

KohlaParasaurus · 15/04/2023 12:37

Pate was considered the height of sophistication when I was a student, and "room picnics" were always pate and biscuits. I managed not to gag on it or spit it out but my palate never learned to appreciate it.

Needmorelego · 15/04/2023 12:37

Basically any alcohol.

evtheria · 15/04/2023 12:43

Vimto, especially as I had just moved to Manchester where one is ideally raised with it in their baby bottle. It is musty Ribena.

RicherThanYews · 15/04/2023 12:47

My best friend insisted on having our Christmas lunch in a place called Volcano in Cardiff Bay. I paid £65 and left there starving because the kitchen closed after being open for 1.4hrs and you could only order 1 piece of sushi at a time, the waitress only had 4 customers (my table) and took 30 minutes to return and take orders. I didn't even want to go 🤬

Lunchables 🤢

I was never allowed lunchables growing up. Now, on my way home from a late shift. I grab one, an ice blast and a pack of tangy toms from the bus station shop. Whilst I wait for my bus home. Oh the salty decadence.

romdowa · 15/04/2023 12:56

Sambuca , apple sour shots, tequila, wkd and port, tia Maria and milk 🤢🤮 peer pressure on a night out was the worst! My friends drank some awful stuff

Sandysandwich · 15/04/2023 12:56

Babybel, laughing cow cheese, frubes, pepperami, frazzles and fridge raiders.

Xjshdvf · 15/04/2023 12:57

Aperol spritz, just no from me. Also all these posh gins, again no

CC4712 · 15/04/2023 13:02

For biology, we had to bring in a lamb kidney to dissect. The teacher forgot to put them in the fridge, so the following day we had to dissect rancid, stinking kidneys!

One of the boys was dared to eat and swallow a chunk out of one- which he did! 😱

CharlotteStreetW1 · 15/04/2023 13:18

Friend: A round of espresso martinis please!

Me: Can I have a porn star please? Hate coffee.

Friend: no it's tradition - has to be espresso.

Other friend - it hardly tastes of coffee anyway.

Me: (gives in) 🤮

WavingThroughYoWindow · 15/04/2023 13:21
