80’s and 90’s film recommendations

Iloveautumncolours · 14/04/2023 14:27

I turned 50 a month ago and have decided to relive my youth by watching all the old films that I once loved (and those I haven’t yet seen).
I am thinking easy watching/cheesy/fun and uplifting films like Ferris Bueller’s day off, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Pretty Woman etc.
If you have any recommendations of films you loved back then and probably ones that I have long forgotten, I will happily track down and watch over the next year.

Doing something similar myself, thoroughly enjoying revisiting those decades, music and TV series too. Bit of a random mixture off the top of my head -

Dirty Dancing, Sleepless in Seattle, Working Girl, Jerry Maguire, When Harry met Sally, Moonstruck, When a Man Loves a Woman, Ghost, How to Make an American Quilt, Little Women, Stand by Me, Back to the Future, Tootsie, Beetlejuice, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Room with a View, Howards End, Notting Hill, Clueless, Shakespeare in Love, Desperately Seeking Susan, An Ideal Husband.

Not made, but set in the eighties so a big hit of nostalgia - The Wedding Singer, Thirteen going on Thirty.
