Honestly Eco/Little Echo Shop - has anyone else had problems ordering from them?

I bought from them last year when they were called Little Echo Shop and the order took a while but did arrive eventually and the stuff was nice.

But I ordered in January (yes, January!) after they had rebranded as Honestly Eco and still nothing has arrived. They're now "closing down" again and selling everything off dirt cheap but I'm already getting FB ads for two companies that I strongly suspect are both them!! If it's not them then I'll eat my hat, the branding/products/websites/even down to the wording and use of emojis on the posts is basically identical.

Honestly Eco's FB ads keep getting lots of angry comments from people who haven't got what they ordered but then the comments are deleted. It's not a sum of money that's worth taking serious action over but it's still very annoying, it might only be £20 but it's my £20 and I don't know how they get away with ripping people off, "closing down" and then immediately reopening with the same products but a new name 🤬

There are loads of 1 star reviews for them on Trustpilot so it doesn't appear to just be you.

I haven't actually tried those, this was all bath bombs and bubbles for one of my DC!

And yes I've seen the Trust Pilot reviews now 😤 I just assumed as I'd used them before with no real issues (other than slow delivery but it was in the general delivery chaos of last years strikes so I didn't really think too much of it).

I ended up having to get my credit card to reclaim the money (people seem to have had success if they paid via PayPal as well) but that was before they closed down.

Ive noticed they are closing down. I did struggle with getting my last order as they didn’t send the right bar but they soon sent one out. There are a lot of people saying the bars are no good but personally they are the best but had to try different ones the blonde ones are amazing and are the best around. I’m so sad to hear they are closing. 😰

I claimed a refund through Paypal after no communication in six weeks and then three weeks later the parcel arrived. I waited weeks with it unopened ready to return it. Contacted them again and still no reply so used the stuff. More than six months now and still get their emails but no communication regarding the parcel they refunded then sent and then ignored any further communication.

I've ordered from them a few times, the products are good but delivery takes forever! I also had an issue when some face cream turned up that had obviously gone off as it was rock hard and smelt different to what I'd had previously. The customer service team argued with me that it looked fine on the photo and wanted me to pay postage to send it back before they would offer a refund. I won't order from them now.

Awful....spent about £25 with them before Xmas. Delivery was late (fair enough...Post was crap anyway) but only delivered part the order.... ie shampoo bar but not the conditioner and a jar of face cream was only half full.
As I was about to leave the UK I didn't have time to faff about returning stuff and getting my money back.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were the sort of company that will open up a couple of weeks later after they have closed down under a new name.

I've actually done loads of digging on FB and Trustpilot since I posted this and this is exactly what they've done at least 3 times already!

Yes, order was very slow then arrived with things missing. Had to chase multiple times for a refund but did get there eventually. Wish I had seen the trustpilot reviews, honestly thought I had a one off bad experience!

However found 'The Good Soap - Let's Go Back To The Bar' and they seem to be a lovely small business, only ordered once so far but it arrived quickly and all was really nice

They have not created any other business. Their unit is being sold in Exeter and was completely cleared out. I worked for them and the girl who ran it let everyone go and made everyone redudant. She suffered a miscarriage and was attacked by an employee prior to this and sexually assulted and couldn't continue the business. Its absolutely disgusting that as a team we worked so hard and people have been allowed to spread unfair remarks regarding stockists & more. We had a lot of issues with delivery couriers & fulfillments (changing delivery couriers FOUR TIMES in 2 years & fulfillment companies THREE times). Unfortunately it just didn't work for us.

Them? It was one person running it & a small team of about 4 of us and a few recruitment staff weekly. We were a small business.

I understand there were delays and things weren't dealt with correctly or as quick as larger businesses but writing unfair & untrue comments based on hearsay is just another pain us as employees and the business have to take. When you make threads like this, remember we had amazing products, we are real people with families, our ingredient suppliers ended up getting less sales and are facing closure because of our closure..Slandering small ECO businesses and writing threads like this (even some people commenting saying they have their order AND a refund) is really upsetting

Not complaining at all just telling of my experience. Would have been happy to return parcel that arrived long after it was needed. Hardly the customer's fault when there is no response to their emails. FWIW I thought the products weren't very good anyway so even if delivery had been prompt and communication adequate I wouldn't and won't be buying again.

I'm not sure which incarnation of the company you're actually from tbh but judging by the companies that have popped up with extremely similar product ranges, branding, website design, and introductory offers to Honestly Eco (and what's more, they're all based in Devon or Somerset too so nice and local) - I'm sure your suppliers will be just fine.

Again, all of us were made redundant, companies house has filed closure. The unit we produced in is for sale...happy to provide evidence of redundancy but hey...very easy for people to make INCORRECT remarks online...remember Shopify have website templates that nearly ALL small businesses use for free.......

In regards to the 'other businesses' - Dermatology has been around a LOT longer than us. We produced a range of their collection and even sold it under THEIR name on the website. We also had a duty to sell off stock - which also involved producing products from ingredients we had left and wholesaling...two members of staff have products which they are selling themselve under their OWN company number with their OWN name. Its absolutely ridiculous how something can just be taken so out of hand from one comment and driven out. So its not as it seems....Honestly Eco is completely gone, the unit is gone, the staff have gone, the products will NEVER re-appear under a new brand name or anything similar. The business has filed CLOSURE.
