Is anyone else surprised that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have broken up ?

TBF he always seemed very bland. But I sort of figured that’s what she wanted! I really liked all her songs about being happy and relaxed in a grown-up relationship in your thirties. Hope she finds someone else nice. Maybe it’s a bit teenage of me but I love her 😭.

I imagine if you have a VAST fortune like she has you’re going to be very guarded with whom you date and marry. I assume she will have had her eggs frozen and if she hasn’t, then she will. I hope she finds ‘the one’ in time.

That was my assumption too, @RudsyFarmer . My theory is that he wanted to get married but she didn’t.
If she wants children, she’ll probably end up having one on her own or perhaps in a more casual relationship.

I’m 99.9% certain that Bigger Than The Whole Sky is about a miscarriage. I can’t see how it could be about anything else.

When I first heard the song I thought it was her mourning the person she would have become had she not she not gone through a traumatic event. That coupled with the lyrics "What could've been, would've been, what should've been, you", it feels like a nod to and sister lyric to "Would've, Could've, Should've" which is about her being resentful of the damage done to her by an unhealthy relationship.

I can see why people, especially those who have gone through one, interpret as miscarriage, but I think other losses, including loss of self, make sense too.

She’s already lost that market, she was very public about endorsing the pro gay rights candidate in the 2018 election, released you need to calm down, has performed more than once with drag queens, had a trans man as the boyfriend in her last video... and there’s been other stuff too.

If she was gay it would make no difference at this point.
