I'm awake! Staying at DPs, my 12 year old DD has a sickness bug and I have a streaming cold. I'm in with her tonight to keep an eye as her temp was high and I cannot get to sleep.
What are you night owls up too?

Dh and ds just left for airport as they are going on a wee “boys trip” to visit dd. Will be lovely break for the two of them. But I can’t get back to sleep. Just worrying about things. Silly things and things I can’t do anything about at half four in morning. Feel like just getting up but ddog who is asleep at my feet wouldn’t be impressed.

Wide awake now, my elderly bladder wakes me up every couple of hours unfortunately. I don't know why it can't do that during the day but it doesn't. Thinking about what I will make for tonight's dinner.

Petrified- my little grandson got an accidental bang on his head. Going to be investigated, even though it was an accident! Scared Social Services are going to take him away! Feeling absolutely sick.

I know it’s scary but any bruise on non mobile child will be investigated. That DOES NOT mean they will take him away. If the explanation matches the injury it should be closed very quickly. Threshold for social care being involved and amount of evidence before a child is removed (witnessed regularly in school) would shock you - but I do appreciate none of that helps you not feel bad.

my Dad swung me around by the ankles and dropped me when playing when I was 5 and I broke my arm! He was on a watch list but nothing more ever happened other than me reminding him regularly 35 years later 😂

@Yorkshirebornandbread I believe there is always a required follow when children have accidents, and that's all it was! Every child hurts themselves. You're worrying unnecessarily I'm.sure.

@AllIeveknewonlyou its amazing. He is also having very vocal nightmares about mummy long legs! I'm having a great time lol

I'm with my mum in hospital waiting for her to pass, there's another thread about it. I've had around 9 hours sleep since Wednesday. I'll sleep properly when it's all over.

I was awake earlier and read this. The dogs got me up at 3.30 but was too sleepy by the time I got to the end of the thread.

Have you been referred to the sleep clinic? Maybe they can help.

@SchoolTripDrama of course I didn't take a poorly child to stay at someone's house! We've been here for a few days and are here for Easter. She came down suddenly with it yesterday.
