I'm awake! Staying at DPs, my 12 year old DD has a sickness bug and I have a streaming cold. I'm in with her tonight to keep an eye as her temp was high and I cannot get to sleep.
What are you night owls up too?

Thank you that’s what mindset I have at the moment although I’m like a first time mum again I have no idea about any of it if I’m honest

Petrified- my little grandson got an accidental bang on his head. Going to be investigated, even though it was an accident! Scared Social Services are going to take him away! Feeling absolutely sick.

Yes me, I am up. Oddly wide awake. I've set up the easter egg hunt around the house and put out DS Easter presents. I can't wait to see his excited little face in the morning.

General anxiety about life, work, loneliness keeping me awake now.

Oh bless you I’m sure ss won’t take him away is your grandson old enough to talk as I’m sure he will explain it was an accident honestly my middle son was so accident prone from 2-5 (still is at 15) and I the amount of times we had to go to the hospital with quite bad injuries with him we never got questioned once

I'm up with a sickness bug/food poisoning - not an enjoying experience as I have emetophobia.

At least my husband is home this weekend so he can look after the toddler.

I woke up over an hour ago and couldn't get back to sleep.

Yesterday was the first opportunity I've had to chat IRL with a good friend about something I'm not comfortable with about new guy I'm seeing. The issue is swimming round my brain about how best to proceed.

@Madhousemam definitely no judgement. Most important thing is that you are happy with the decision you've made over this pregnancy. I hope the people around you IRL surprise you by not being judgemental when you tell them.

@Madhousemam no he’s only tiny - I know the hospital are only doing their job but they make you feel guilty when they start talking about investigations. He has a little bruise above his eye. Can’t explain how terrified I feel.

I can understand your worry, but it's very unlikely to happen. I hope your grandson is ok.

Feeding 12 week old baby and now he’s snoozing and I’m struggling to go back to sleep! Not long until 4 year old will be up and at ‘em!

Dd (3yrs) woke up screaming from a nightmare about half an hour ago and then would not resettle so we are downstairs on the sofa watching Tik Tak. It’s been a tough couple of days … I’ve had multiple migraines since Wednesday and a crappy panic attack last night. I’m beyond exhausted. Happy Easter everyone x

Oh no!! I remember the almost delirium of not sleeping for a few nights! Sleeping pills didn't work on me, it was probably stress.

Phew indeed.

The late teens are hard to navigate parenting. I hate those nights with mine... You want to know they're safe, but don't want to bug then because they're an adult.

I think our parents probably had it easier as mobile phones didn't exist. No way of checking in, so didn't worry that they hadn't checked in.

Thank you I have only told my family this time as can’t be bothered with explaining everything to people my mum is the most excited she has came to midwife apps and scans with me bless her it shocked me a lot as she is extremely religious and didn’t like the idea of me and my ex having 2 kids out of wedlock 😂

I completely agree with you there I’m so glad there wasn’t mobile phone when I was that age altho my mum still sat up and waited till we got in with a cuppa ready

Oh bless you night time is the worst isn’t it when there is no one to talk to in real life and you need them the most and the problems just magnify as well

If it's any consolation my very prim and proper grandmother let her hair down and had a fling with a GI Joe WW2 which resulted in my father who was utterly lovely :)

I plucked up the courage to ask her about that once and she said "oh you know about that, do you? He was a wonderful dancer"

It was her way of saying conversation over 🤣

@Nowthatlovehasperished things can always seem worse at night. Hope you can get some rest and start to work through things in due course
