Just what the title says really, how many Eggs do you buy the kids? Do they get Eggs from others too etc?
I'm asking as I usually buy mine a few each. A, big, a medium a couple of small. And they usually get 2 or 3from family.

None but I but them each 1 EASTER egg.

Sorry. Had to.

They get one big egg each from us and a trail of small eggs from the Easter bunny for the egg hunt.

BananasinPyhamas · 08/04/2023 22:29

Hahaha ha *buy

CornishGem1975 · 08/04/2023 22:29

I buy them one.

stargirl1701 · 08/04/2023 22:29

One. They also get books.

cocksstrideintheevening · 08/04/2023 22:30

They get one from us and a couple from family.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 08/04/2023 22:31

1 and some of the little mini egg sized ones that go in plastic eggs for a hunt. She gets loads from family, most end up being cooked into brownies or chocolate cakes in a few weeks.

I used to get mine about 3 each… a big one and a couple of smaller ones. They’re grown up now so they get either one each or just some chocolate.

DanceMonster · 08/04/2023 22:31

One. Until I found Mumsnet I didn’t know people bought their children more than one, to be honest! They also usually get one from my dad, one from my grandma and one from my SIL.

mindutopia · 08/04/2023 22:32

Just one from us, plus a bit of chocolate in Easter egg hunt. MIL is bringing another one each on Easter Monday but usually she posts them, and if she did, we would use those as the Easter eggs as they really don’t need 6 kg of chocolate in a day.

Snowjokes · 08/04/2023 22:34

One. Plus an Easter egg hunt so a few little ones. My mum might buy them one.

ChicagoBears · 08/04/2023 22:35

I buy them a few small eggs each and then an inexpensive toy and a book.

UnicornBoom · 08/04/2023 22:38

Mine has about 12, two from me (well one egg and a mini lindt bunny), one from my mum, one from each of my 4 siblings, two from my friends, one from nursery, one from my gran and an enormous one from my dad. We're all very close but I had no idea they were all getting him Easter eggs. He's 4 ffs!

shadowchancesassy · 08/04/2023 22:39

Just the one, but they have lots of family so get loads which I hate. Half eaten chocolate eggs smashed everywhere really winds me up!

Matchymatchylemonscratchy · 08/04/2023 22:39

Lots of small ones (the smallest size little solid ones) for the hunt in the morning, and one big one.

For those buying two to three only do you not do an Easter egg hunt?

Cece92 · 08/04/2023 22:40

I used to buy her a couple wee ones and would get her an outfit for Easter. My DD is 9 now, and I total left it last minute for an egg. We went today and the only egg was £10 that was left 🙈🙈🙈 so she got 1 egg! And a stitch T-shirt from primark lol! X

Okunevo · 08/04/2023 22:41

One large egg and a pack of Cadbury creme eggs. He sometimes gets a couple more from family depending on who we see.

ListenLinda · 08/04/2023 22:41

One big one, one of the £1 ones, a bunny and a lolly. They have 10 each in total, from other family members.

Timetochangetheoil · 08/04/2023 22:41

I’ve got them those small hollow foil wrapped eggs for the garden hunt, I got 20 in a box so they have 10 each to find and one small chocolate button egg at the end of the hunt. They have already been given a big one each from their great grandma, an egg hunt at their grandparents’, with gifts and things, and gifts and an egg each from their uncle and aunt. On Monday we will see their other set of grandparents who are also doing them an egg hunt, and other aunties and uncles who no doubt have got them eggs too. It is of course too much chocolate for a 3 and 5 year old.

I will confess a couple of months ago I found a bag of eggs from last Easter that they hadn’t even eaten yet and I had obviously stashed out of sight. DH happily munched through them 🤣 I’m going to try and use some of this year’s chocolate to make cakes or something with the kids so it actually all gets eaten.

I omitted the tiny ones I get for the hunt, for some reason I only thought of Easter eggs as being the big ones in boxes. I wouldn't refer to the tiny ones as Easter eggs but I guess they are!

MoandJo · 08/04/2023 22:42

1 medium sized one from us along with some smaller ones for an egg hunt from the Easter bunny: then their 3 sets of grandparents tend to buy them one each

OhOGee · 08/04/2023 22:42

Mine get 1 egg each and a little gift. Easter bunny brings a chocolate bunny.

We will be doing an egg hunt but with plastic eggs.

Willowthecrisp · 08/04/2023 22:43

one each from me and DH but he bought them and honestly I wouldn’t bother if he didn’t because they will get so much from friends and family. Last year their grandparents did an Easter egg hunt and I swear they had about 40 eggs of varying sizes. It’s way too much but I let them scoff a few on the day then commandeer their egg bags and distribute them as treats over the next few months (well ok not months as I may have eaten a lot of them myself along the way- they are too young to notice and I’m protecting them from all that nasty sugar)

FullaSpjäll · 08/04/2023 22:43

One.
They also get them from two sets of neighbours which is lovely.

Fantasmagoricalan · 08/04/2023 22:50

One.
