Socks for teenage boys!

DS(13) cannot tell me what the others wear, as he is completely oblivious and to be fair, most are still in trousers.

If yours are wearing shorts, do they wear ankle socks or trainer socks?

mostly Nike here too. pulled up as far as they go.

He has some Vans with crayola crayons on them.

He also has some ludicrously expensive socks that he got for Christmas. The Nike Certified lover boy ones. 🙄 and some cactus jack mcdonalds socks (they aren’t white).

Turns out DS really cares about socks - to the extent of asking for them for Christmas!

My boys call trainer sick "boomer socks" I'd say white sports sock, vans, Nike, Adidas.

Ok, so no trainer socks! I can't imagine DS keeping socks white for long....

He's not bothered by brands (yet) so plain black ankle socks might be accceptable?

Can't he just pick what he likes? I have a 16 year old, they don't all wear the same.

Good luck getting a teen to wear sandals let alone with socks. Unless they are sliders, in which case white sports socks as above.

Mine never wore trainer socks but did some foldy manoeuvre whereby an ordinary sock became invisible.

Mine is already asking for sandals. He always has to wear socks, the only time he doesn't is walking from the shower to his bedroom
to put some on. To my (clearly elderly, unfashionable) eyes, sandals and ankle
socks look awful. Even worse than the shorts/ankle sock/trainer combo.

@Okunevo no. His attitude is "I need more socks can you buy me some?" "Which type?" "I dunno, you choose!"

Personally I’d say more like these if you’re looking for unbranded black ones. As above, the Nike ones fully pulled up are a staple in our house - even worn with Crocs 🤮🤮🤮

If he's running out then I'd just get more of the same. If I got DS different ones then they could be uncomfortable or otherwise wrong and I'd have wasted my money.

My money is on slides. They’re worn with the big, white, pulled up as far as they go sports socks.
