Man asked if he should "beat me to understand" in road rage incident

Came across a substantially flooded section of the country road I take to get home. I was extremely nervous as literally lost a car last winter, was stranded bang in the middle as I didn't keep revs up.

So probably was driving too fast through. Car in opposite car told me to slow down before asking I'm thick. I am shaken cause the guy asked if he needed to get out and beat me in order for me to understan.

I'm totally shaken. I was terrified he was going to hurt me 😢

Did you keep his licence plate or anything? If so report him to the police.

Didn't think to get his licence plate. Really thought he was going to get out his car. Put the child lock on

How did you have a conversation with him? Were his windows down? Were your windows down even though it was raining? Just wondering how he had an opportunity to say it?

I saw his were down (due to bend) and rolled mine down cause I actually thought he could be in trouble

That was kind of you to check if he was in trouble, but I always say if in doubt never wind your window down in these circumstances. People are mental and he particularly sounds like a nasty piece of work! Just bear in mind he probably has a small knob, so is taking it out on all women kind!

@VeniVidiWeeWee , as if I would ! Just trying to envision a scenario where this could happen and I could hear a whole sentence whilst driving past fast in the opposite direction. Maybe my imagination just isn’t up to scratch tonight .

Its a verbal threat and the inebriate who threatened you needs some stern words from a copper twice his size.

I suggest you report him before he strikes again.

Hopefully CCTV may have some imagea.

I don't get this either. How did you hear him if you were driving past really quickly and you were inside a car? Did you drive really really close to each other?

Fast relative to the situation, was going no more than 15 mph. Slowed down when he approached. No skin off my nose if people think I'm lying.

The water was only JUST passable

Yes we were extremely close together, lane is not wide enough for 2 cars at some points. A lot of giving way

Well personally I would have laughed in his face and asked if he was still 5 years old, but I can’t stand bullying men and also have the survival instinct of a lemming!!

People should not try and cross flooded roads. Passing another vehicle who is also doing it could be dangerous. Roads are usually higher slightly in the middle. You frightened him. He was a nasty piece of work. Both in the wrong here.

Fast through standing water but also slow and close enough to have a conversation. The water can't have been too deep if you had your window down without it spraying up. As you went past him you would have sprayed water in his open window.

I've a friend who is small and beautiful and looks like a dainty little doll.
Shes ex army, she's a mma fighter, she's calm but you know she'd kill someone in 10 seconds if the need appeared.
Let's hope he does it to someone like her, he'll never do it again!

OP try to put it out of your mind now. There are a lot of aggressive men on the roads and occasionally you come across them
