So called friend driving me mad

Ok this might be complicated but please bear with me. There is a group of us that go on nights out together. Lisa and Jane (not their real names) had a falling out so we all sided with Lisa and fell out with Jane too.
Recently Lisa stopped talking to me for a week over something silly, we sorted it out and are friends again. In the meantime I stupidly told Jane about our argument and said some not very nice things about Lisa (which I am not proud of, I feel embarrassed and ashamed tbh) I am now worried that Jane will tell Lisa what I've said. Do I just wait and see what happens and own up? It is making me feel so ill and anxious. Wish I'd have kept my big mouth shut

You sound about 12. Why did you all stop being friends with Jane if it was just Lisa and Jane who fell out? Why would say unpleasant things about someone to another friend? You need to grow up and learn how to be a proper friend.

TedMullins · 30/03/2023 13:36

This is all incredibly immature, why did you all exclude Jane when it wasn’t your argument? And the bitching, I thought people grew out of that in high school

Gladiaterf · 30/03/2023 13:49

Chavtastic.

KittyRockstar · 30/03/2023 13:52

Yes I know how it looks hence me feeling ashamed and embarrassed

So called friend driving me mad

surely you’re the so called friend given you excluded someone when it wasn’t your argument then bitched about them behind their back!?

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 30/03/2023 14:09

Are you 12?

What grown woman falls out with people because their friend fell out with them then bitches about them. Honestly just grow up.

SnarkyBag · 30/03/2023 14:12

Karma’s a bitch!

SnarkyBag · 30/03/2023 14:13

I hope Jane throws a grenade into the whole group and enjoys watching the fall out from a safe distance!

Peckhaminn · 30/03/2023 14:15

OP, so many posts on MN about people who have lost friends because one follows the dominant leader. How awful of you to cut that friend out just because Lisa fell out with Jane!!! This has happened to me in the past and I'm actually disgusted. Unless there was a serious reason to cut Jane off. Horrible behaviour

whattodo1975 · 30/03/2023 14:16

Sounds like a Jacqueline Wilson book.

Peckhaminn · 30/03/2023 14:17

Plus the all this bickering and bitchiness between you, Lisa and Jane. Never heard anything more pathetic. Sorry OP you don't sound particularly nice nor does anyone else in the group for that matter. Why shouldn't Jane go and tell Lisa? You cut her off when Lisa had an argument with her. Now she's got something to hold against you

Deathraystare · 30/03/2023 14:26

@Greydogs123
You sound about 12.

Don't they though???!!!!

blacksax · 30/03/2023 14:28

So you only started talking to Jane again when you yourself fell out with Lisa? And then you went and moaned about Lisa to Jane, and now you're worried that Jane will tell Lisa what you said.

Poor Jane.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/03/2023 14:37

You’re the so called friend. I hope Jane dumps you in it. She was nicer than I’d have been by evening talking to you after you ditched her for no reason.

Sounds exhausting.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 30/03/2023 14:38

Poor Jane
This is playground stuff!

Liellacat · 30/03/2023 14:45

All get together, have a good open honest discussion about what’s been said and sort it out.

If you are all falling out over silly things then life is short, remind yourselves that!

quietnightmare · 30/03/2023 14:56

What did Jane do that's what we all want to know

KittyRockstar · 30/03/2023 15:15

What did Jane do that's what we all want to know

She accused Lisa of fancying her OH and went off alarming about it actually

I think we might do that

Wow. I was about to ask if you were 12 but everyone else beat me to it.
If I were unlucky enough to be Jane and have fake friends like you and your other gang members I’d have cut you out long ago for generally being quite a pathetic group of people. All sounds so immature and toxic.
Reading threads like this make me so so grateful to have such nice friends who aren’t bitches!

SnarkyBag · 30/03/2023 15:31

I really like my air fryer to whoever asked. It was expensive though so not sure how many chicken nuggets we need to wang in it before we reap the financial benefits!

Actually though with two teens in the house who eat different things at different times they love it as they can easily make something for themselves and for some reason find using the air fryer as a less daunting prospect to using the oven or hob.

the food we have done in it has come out really well, not just nuggets!

SnarkyBag · 30/03/2023 15:31

Wrong thread!

What were the circumstances around this? Was it out of the blue? After an incident? Was it lots of small things? Was Lisa acting inappropriately with her OH? Was the OH uncomfortable about it?

At least this makes for an adult discussion.
