Out of curiosity:

What is your favourite breakfast, lunch and dinner to cook and eat. It can be anything from something you have every week, to something you only make for special occasions

Bonus points if you've got recipes and links

Inspire me!

Mine would be
Breakfast: scrambled eggs with smoked paprika, and bacon on thick white bread with butter
Lunch: chicken club sandwich with fries
Dinner: pan fried duck with dauphinois, roasted carrots and a red wine sauce.

Delish!

Breakfast - egg on toast

Lunch - jacket salad and tuna

Dinner - French cuisine apart from frog legs

hashbrownsandwich · 29/03/2023 21:24

Breakfast: Hash brown sandwich, obviously. Ideally deep fried hash browns (4) in 2 slices of medium bread with ketchup.

Lunch: Halloumi and grilled vegetables in a ciabatta with red pesto mayo, McCoys ready salted crisps. Glass of dry rose.

Dinner: Paneer curry (hot), tadka dhal, naan bread, garlic rice, poppadums with all the pickles. Champagne before hand and red wine during. Crème brûlée to finish with fresh raspberries.

Scrambled eggs on sourdough. Bucket of tea.
sushi.
salmon with baked potato, creamed spinach and roasted tomatoes . Sauvignon blanc. Umm Ali 😋

Breakfast. Copycat Dishoom bacon naan. Just streaky bacon done in the air fryer, cream cheese and sweet chilli sauce on a ready made naan.

Lunch. Out at my favourite Indian Street food place. A vada pav (a spicy potato cake in a brioche, can't beat a bit of double carbing) and something with paneer. With a pint of craft lager and a quiet hour to myself.

Dinner. Not much as I'm not that hungry, but suits me. Probably some crisps, cheese and a biiigggg G&T.

You didn't actually want to know about a healthy, sustainable way of eating did you? Smile

BarbaraofSeville · 29/03/2023 21:29

Although it sounds like me and @hashbrownsandwich would get on just fine. If you're veggie, you can obviously swap the bacon for halloumi, or facon.

If I had to squeeze in a dessert, I would say a panna cotta, but a creme brule is pretty much the same thing, just French, not Italian.

SquigglePigs · 29/03/2023 22:07

Breakfast: if actually at breakfast time then a good bacon sandwich but love a proper full English if a bit later in the morning

Lunch: jacket potato with cheese and beans or chilli and cheese

Dinner: spaghetti bolognese or chorizo and chicken rice with homemade garlic bread

Ok so I couldn't narrow it down to one for each meal! To be fair I'd eat bolognese for any and all meals given half a chance.

Mindovermatter247 · 29/03/2023 22:12

Breakfast : bacon sarnie with daddies sauce tops everything
lunch, greggs sausage rolls, only when they are crispy and hot though

Breakfast: melon

Lunch: Greek salad and pitta bread

Dinner: sirloin steak, mushrooms with a red wine, shallot, and dash of Creme fraiche with some parsley, chips and a green salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

Bacon and egg banjo

  • very crispy, streaky bacon, runny egg, buttered white floury bap and brown sauce.

Anchovy salad

  • fresh anchovies on shredded romaine lettuce with cucumber, peppers, onion.

Moules et frites

  • fresh mussels in a Roquefort sauce, piping hot frites with a side of fresh French bread and butter washed down with a cold bottle glass of Chablis.

Breakfast: eggs benedict or anything similar.

Lunch: sushi

Dinner: I can't think of one dinner I love but my fave treat is steak with fries and tomato salad.

MissHoollie · 29/03/2023 22:36

Breakfast... Fried scone and bacon
Lunch.. cheese and crackers
Tea my mum's homemade fish and chips with bread and butter

ThreeRingCircus · 29/03/2023 22:39

Breakfast: A vegetarian version of full English breakfast. With proper deep fried vegetable versions of sausages not that weird soya fake meat stuff.

Lunch: A toasted flatbread filled with halloumi, avocado, black olives, red onion and sweet chilli sauce. Chunky chips on the side and mayo to dip.

Dinner: Nachos with guacamole, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos and more melted cheese than is decent.

JustJamie5 · 29/03/2023 22:39

So long as the meal has molten cheese I’m happy!

Also, based on Google …

Dinner = largest meal of the day (so I’m guessing could technically be breakfast… but that sounds odd)

Tea = apparently has a complicated history. Wikipedia is so long! But it does appear to happen after lunch. But it could be a light meal, or something like afternoon tea (yum).

But then we also have ‘supper’!!! ….. A secondary lighter evening meal

I’ve taken to just saying evening meal as my family say Dinner but DPs say Tea…. Me saying dinner is just too complicated in my house!!

LapinR0se · 29/03/2023 22:39

LapinR0se · 29/03/2023 22:40

Hawkins00 · 29/03/2023 22:44

Breakfast: full English continental, sometimes pancakes added too

Lunch, bacon lettuce and tomato, with tuna mayo, cobs, soft.

Dinner : spaghetti Bolognese

Bearpawk · 29/03/2023 22:47

Breakfast would be a slice of brown sourdough with avo, red sauerkraut and poached egg.

Lunch would probably be a roast dinner with Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese - all home made by me for friends, with love.

Dinner - In real life I'd be too full from the roast, but in my dream world it would be a thali from the fancy hipster Indian place in my town - eaten in front of the tv on the sofa. They're out of this world.

bluechameleon · 29/03/2023 22:47

Before I gave up meat I'd have been very happy with your menu. Mine is:
Breakfast: French toast, maple syrup, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries.
Lunch: bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese
Dinner: vegetable lasagne and garlic bread.
