I'm just enjoying my first cuppa of the day, in my spot in the kitchen. The window's open & I can hear the birds chirping away in the trees & the wood pigeons are wandering up and down the fence.

Today's going to be a very slow one, I think. There's pots to be done, shirts to iron, and I really need to finish sorting activities for Tuesday at Rainbows and Guides.

The girls have done all their homework I think but I will double check & hope that neither of them wants to do anything too taxing!

Hopefully I can just sit and crochet the day away after that.

I have no idea what's for tea yet. My stomach's still delicate & everything in the freezer got a 'no' when I looked yesterday 🤷‍♀️ It might be another night of "fend for yourselves".

What about all of you? 🙂

Good morning! We are having a slow day today, homework, Harry Potter film and some chores. Am hoping to clear out our big toy cupboard as the DC have grown out of a lot of what’s in there (sob). Greek lamb for tea and that’s about it. Have a lovely relaxing Sunday @lucysmam

Good morning Lucysmam. I've had two coffees and a bit of toast. Shortly I'll go for a shower then I have to write out the eulogy for my friend who died on Thursday. Ever the organised woman, she dictated it to me herself. This afternoon I'll head over to her house to meet up with her partner and a couple of friends to discuss what needs to be done. A chicken curry for dinner tonight

Morning! It’s DH’s birthday but he’s got my horrible head cold so nothing too crazy. He’s walking the dog and then I’ve got croissants or bacon sandwiches and hot coffee which I’m sure will be needed as lots of rain here.

Presents to open and then later we are off out for a roast at a little pub in town. Home for whisky, lemon and honey for him, tea for me while we watch blue bloods. And to bed happy no alarm this week as on holiday

UsernameTaken76 · 26/03/2023 09:20

Sorry for your loss @LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand 💐

ForYouManImADoomBoy · 26/03/2023 09:26

quiet morning here, only me up and about right now. out for a belated mothers day lunch later and then chilling in the afternoon, possibly doing soem laundry depending on weather and if it will dry

Giggorata · 26/03/2023 09:27

Good morning, lucysmam and all,
I’m still in bed, waiting for DH to make tea.

We had a late night and the changing of the clocks now means that we enter our twice yearly period of chaos, where DH and I change the various clocks in the house. But we haven't managed to work out a method for doing this, so some clocks are untouched, some get changed twice, once by him, once by me, some clocks get re changed, and every one of them will be wrong and telling a different time.
This doesn't matter as much as it used to, as we are retired, plus we have more indication from our electronic stuff. But even then, not all of them adjust the time automatically…

When I finally rise from the pit, I will do some laundry… ah, who am I kidding. I will gaze into space for a while in a bovine fashion, make eggs on toast, read the news and chat with DH.
Then I will heave myself reluctantly to my feet and do some laundry, folding, etc. I’ve just bought a load of those drawer organisers, so I have dreams of lovely tidy spaces, and knowing where everything is at a glance. That's what the adverts said, anyway.

I don't know which of us is doing dinner tonight. If it is me, it will be salmon. If it is DH, it will probably be beef.

Passerillage · 26/03/2023 09:27

Kids BOTH poorly now, so quiet morning on the sofa watching Derry Girls, having my coffee and toast. I’ll go have a shower in a bit.

I’m reaching a class in the community centre in the afternoon so I get to escape the coughing and sneezing for a couple of hours. (I’ve already had it.)

Tiredmum100 · 26/03/2023 09:34

Good morning all. Well I got up early to take dc2 to rugby, showered and dressed but he didn't want to go. DH has taken dc1 to rugby (different places). So seeing as I'm up and dressed in going to head off to tesco for 10 to do the weekly food shop. I'm looking for ideas for dinner tonight if anyone has any suggestions......? I'll probably stick a load of washing in before we leave, then home to the tip (trying to decorate the living room).

ilovebagpuss · 26/03/2023 10:01

Morning @lucysmam hope you have a nice peaceful Sunday. Second coffee and toast in bed here. Need to get up for a walk at 10.30 even though it's not appealing weather here.
Feel tired as well, busy day yesterday and late night surfing tv, came to bed and cats have disturbed my sleep scratching to get in and then meep meeping to annouce the 6.30 hunger needs!
DH is away at his folks helping with some DIY and both DD's are having a quiet day. DD16 will revise.
Popping to take a present to my nephew later and then it will be crunchy chicken and chips and salad for tea.
Might light the fire in the evening we have enough wood left for one burn, I've been saving it for a grey day.
Cats have curled themselves into tight cinnamon rolls and are now snoring.

Iamblossom · 26/03/2023 10:12

DH has gone to collect DS2 from his friend's house, an hour late as we forgot about clocks!
DS2 has got a trial shift at a local farm shop/restaurant this afternoon, I hope it goes well as he needs a weekend job. How hard can it be right?

DS2 in bed as got home very late from a double shift at a local wedding venue. Need to mention revision to him later as he doesn't appear to have done any 🙄

I'm sitting at kitchen table with a coffee in running clothes, going to take the dog for a run in a minute. It will be an effort as had 3 glasses of wine last night and as a result slept like shit.

DH wants to go to tkmaxx later for a mooch, then TV evening and left overs for tea.

fancyfrogs · 26/03/2023 10:23

Morning all!
Both kids slept really well which was an unusual lovely surprise! Toddler playing nicely, DH has just made me a sausage sandwich and cuppa while I'm feeding the baby. Off for a walk later as it's stopped raining for now. Beef going in the slow cooker for this evening 😀

yewtrees · 26/03/2023 10:25

Determined to have a productive day rather than slump in front of the tv 💪

Decafflatteplease · 26/03/2023 10:26

Morning @lucysmam and all.

Sorry for your loss @LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand

@Tiredmum100 what about a lasagne? Could always buy a ready made one? We are having slow cooker lasagne tonight.

Today we don't have anything major planned and it's lovely!

A quiet pottering day i think, allowing ourselves to rest.

I've been up for a few hours already, got the school shirts on the line it's a beautiful day today and there's something that lifts my heart about a nice line of shirts flapping in the wind, God I sound middle aged 🤣

One teen off to meet some friends in a bit, the rest of us just having a pottering day, homework, laundry putting away, some time in the garden hopefully, got some seeds to plant but might wait until Easter holidays. I might pop to the gym this afternoon if I can be bothered 🤣 I need to go to the parcel shop aswell.

About to put a slow cooker lasagne in for dinner, with salad and garlic bread.

All in all a lovely day hopefully!

garlictwist · 26/03/2023 10:28

It's just me at the moment as DP is away with work for the next week (no kids). I am recovering from a leg injury so done my boring stretches I have to do, put a wash on, and now waiting for a friend to arrive for a coffee.

Simonjt · 26/03/2023 10:29

General confusion about the clocks changing.

I’m going to the gym today as I didn’t go on Friday, leg day, so I’ll be regretting that later. The smalls both have swimming this morning so my husband will take them to that, Grandma is meeting a friend who lives near us for lunch.

We have a media day for rugby, so we’re having all our new photos taken later, then after that we’re probably going to go to a few pubs. No plans this evening really.

riotlady · 26/03/2023 10:29

I am shattered, had my friend’s toddler to stay last night and struggled to juggle her and my 5yos jealous dramatics! We are having a lazy morning to recover and toddler will be picked up around lunchtime. Then we’re off to DDs birthday party at the trampoline place and tonight DH and I will probably get a takeaway and collapse in front of the tv!

BrutusMcDogface · 26/03/2023 10:33

Morning! We have son’s football and then the 500 loads of laundry I didn’t even attempt to do yesterday! 😆

Other than that, it’s the usual Sunday crap of homework/making sure everything is ready for the week ahead/school work for me. Not this time next week though, as it’s the Easter holidays and I can’t bloody wait!

Sorry for your loss, @LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand 💐

ssd · 26/03/2023 10:35

Morning @lucysmam , nice to see you.
I'm watching Alan Titchmarsh, which i love and contemplating another cuppa. Will definitely go a run to somewhere nice today if it stays dry.

Hope you all have a peaceful day.

BreviloquentBastard · 26/03/2023 10:35

Still in bed, just opened the blinds so I can enjoy the sunshine and birds outside.

Teen daughter had a sleepover last night so she's still out. Husband got up early and has been pottering in the garden for a while.

I plan to do absolutely nothing all day.

finalwhistle · 26/03/2023 10:36

Trying to survive a day and night at home with an active puppy as DH has buggered off out and taken the car 🙄

RenoDakota · 26/03/2023 10:39

Just about to drive to Newcastle (two and a half hour drive) to pick my daughter up from uni. Cannot wait to have her home for Easter. Son already home and I am looking forward to having a full nest for a few weeks.

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 26/03/2023 10:40

Dh has taken ds2 to his golf lesson. I’m still in bed 😳DS1 is downstairs full of cough and cold - he and I should have been going swimming but that’s off! And I’m already feeling guilty because I didn’t go to my gym class this morning as my body was adamant it was just too early to get up! So what should have been a busy morning has turned into a somewhat lazy one.
Later this afternoon we have badminton booked and dh is doing a roast.

smileladiesplease · 26/03/2023 10:45

Had my second cuppa in bed. Everyone else still asleep as dh snd dds boyfriend had a late night pool competition snd dd and I watched episodes of Bridgeton. 😂😂

Picking my dad up later for Sunday dinner. He's 88 and had covid so still very frail. Will walk the dog in a minute.

Happy Sunday all
