I'm just enjoying my first cuppa of the day, in my spot in the kitchen. The window's open & I can hear the birds chirping away in the trees & the wood pigeons are wandering up and down the fence.

Today's going to be a very slow one, I think. There's pots to be done, shirts to iron, and I really need to finish sorting activities for Tuesday at Rainbows and Guides.

The girls have done all their homework I think but I will double check & hope that neither of them wants to do anything too taxing!

Hopefully I can just sit and crochet the day away after that.

I have no idea what's for tea yet. My stomach's still delicate & everything in the freezer got a 'no' when I looked yesterday 🤷‍♀️ It might be another night of "fend for yourselves".

What about all of you? 🙂

We're out of milk so I'm going to take ds for a walk to the nearest shop after lunch to get milk and other essentials, and let him pick out a pudding as its pudding day. Its sunny and snowy out there so I'm going to have to dig out my sunglasses as sun and snow are a blinding combination!

Need to decide what to do for dinner today, and i might make some bagels as well as I have dough in the fridge.

Good morning all. Quiet morning for me today. I had a lie in til around 9.30am as I had to get up to pick dd18 up from work at 3.30am as her taxi didn’t turn up, then being out in the fresh air woke me up fully so it took me ages to fall back to sleep!

Dh has gone to work, dd15 has gone to school for a revision class, dd8 has been at her grandma’s all weekend (she went on Friday evening and didn’t want to come home yesterday so she stayed again last night), she’ll be home at some point this afternoon.

So it’s just me and dd18 at home atm and she’s got her driving lesson at 1 so I’ll have an empty house for a couple of hours. I have 6 loads of washing to do so need to work my way through that, the house is also a bit of a mess so will do some cleaning then we’re having a roast dinner around 4pm and watching the football at 5pm and probably a film later on.

Morning, @lucysmam!
It’s going to be a quiet one here, I think, as the weather is foul.
I’m on my second coffee, planning the week’s meals, and about to put another load of washing on.
DD is in her room, watching cartoons, and DP is in his happy place, gluing bits of cardboard together.

I need to build an IKEA step stool at some point, which will go in our en-suite, for putting cups of tea and my phone on when I’m in the bath.

Not sure yet what we’ll have for lunch - will let DD choose - but it’ll be leftover Chinese takeaway for supper.

Hoping to get some time to push on with my library book this afternoon and maybe pick up the crochet project I’ve been neglecting. I really want to move onto something else but feel too guilty.

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, @LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand. I hope you and your friends are able to share some happy memories today.

I'm full of a really horrible cold, I've not been this ill since I had Covid last year.

I have a uni assignment due on Thursday and I haven't done any of the reading for it. I have textbook stuff and 3 books to read but I just can't focus on anything. So I really need to try and crack on today to get something written by Thursday. I can pass my course even without this essay but I obviously want to submit it to have a higher level of pass. It's my second last course in the OU before I get my degree which I started way back when DC2 was a baby in 2008. Blush

Thank you lovely people for your kindness. A small group of us sat with her for a week and a half to support her and her partner before she died. It was her wish and I was honoured to be included. We've shared some lovely memories

We've been for a lovely hike in the hills. Spring in the UK countryside is perfect IMO.

No idea why people are obsessed with summer.

Tarkan · 27/03/2023 02:06

Well I ended the day finding out why I hadn't been this ill since I had Covid last year. Yep, I have it again.
