What is your favourite place in your home to sit in?

Mine is the study! It’s quite a large room that fits a couch at one end. Big windows that overlook the back garden, lots of trees with birds visiting.
Lovely afternoon sun. Can watch the clouds roll in when it’s about to rain. Soft lamps. Perfect room to relax in.

The table in our kitchen/diner. It looks out through the full 3 glass doors into our long garden, and has a skylight above it. So it's beautiful when the sun is streaming in, but equally lovely listening to rain on the skylight. Heaven.

Right now on my kitchen stool/perch, but when a new sofa gets delivered I’m pretty sure it’ll be in the new part of the living room we created (hate to call it a snug but that’s what it is), looking out over the river

Conservatory (where I am right now). Lovely warming morning sun this time of year. Got the cat beside me and I think it’s his favourite place too.

When the weather is nice we have one of those egg hanging seats in the garden, that is blissful, it’s in dappled shade, amongst lots of flowers and you can hear all the birds chirping in the trees. Otherwise in daytime we have a seat in the living room window which is lovely and bright and you can watch the world go by, it has a nice view. Winter evenings a rocking chair in front of the woodburner.

My chair next to the aga in the kitchen. I can see the garden through the patio doors and the sky, its so cosy just sitting there with a cup of tea.

The chair is an old wooden one that I found on ebay. To soften it, I've put a throw over the back and a seat cushion plus another cushion for my back. It has arms which was very important to me. Guests gravitate towards it too which I like.

I love the sofa in front of the tv (but often don’t bother with the tv) the house is decluttered so I have a piece of art I love and a bird feeder (gorgeous birds) that is place just from my viewpoint !!

The conservatory if not too hot or cold. In the summer it can get up to 40 degrees plus.

Anywhere I can be alone!

Sitting on my verandah, on the wooden swing seat, looking out to sea. Rain or shine, it's my favourite place in the world, with an ever changing living landscape.

I have an old comfy chair that is tucked into the corner of the breakfast room. In winter I light the log burner and toast my toes and share the comfort and warmth with the dog. In summer, I have a favourite bench in the garden where I enjoy my morning coffee.

What is an orangery? I once had dinner in Greece in an orange grove. Is it like that?

I like sitting in my kitchen with my cat on my knee, watching old episodes of ER. No Aga, sadly.

Oh, just googled. So a conservatory designed to over winter fruit trees and such like? How lovely.

Our living room. It was one of the first rooms I fell in love with when we brought this house. After a stressful renovation with shite builders it's still not lost it's charm for me. Gorgeous French doors lots of morning sunshine and I particularly love the late afternoon sun sitting watching the bird flit from tree to tree in the sun 🌞.

I've got an old car seat I've put out in front of the house and I like to sit on that.
