Does you recognise this clothes label?

I bought these trousers for dd from eBay, she loves them but they’re too small and all the other black jersey trousers I buy are too scratchy or too flappy and she won’t wear them.

Does anyone have any idea which brand these are? I just need to buy the next size up (or possibly the next two!).

I think John Lewis potentially, however they look quite old and I find labels change so frequently!

Mabelface · 17/03/2023 14:22

Got it. Vintage brand I'm afraid!

Could be John Lewis

It's someone like Marks and Spencer. My brain went to the old Woolworths brand Ladybird and the defunct Adams chain too.

BusterGonad · 17/03/2023 14:25

What's the name underneath the small white label?

mintich · 17/03/2023 14:25

Looks like John Lewis to me

familyissues12345 · 17/03/2023 14:27

Another vote for John Lewis. If you turn the label over does that give any other clues?

Lycanthropology · 17/03/2023 14:31

There may be another label in the side seam too. That said, it also looks like John Lewis to me.

Ignorify · 17/03/2023 14:31

In a work meeting but will look underneath the label when I’m done!

That is a completely different label Confused

Nosecan · 17/03/2023 14:56

I thought John Lewis immediately too. Isn’t that an ‘is’ at the top? The font used looks like their branding too.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 17/03/2023 15:00

Another vote for John Lewis.

That vintage label looks nothing like what the OP posted.

NannyR · 17/03/2023 15:04

Looks like John Lewis to me too.

Nosecan · 17/03/2023 15:05

Different colours but the design looks similar and is probably a template? (I’m a graphic designer)

Thank you all! I will plan a trip to John Lewis. I had been looking at all the supermarkets, hadn’t thought to look at John Lewis as I got them cheap off eBay.

happyinherts · 17/03/2023 15:05

Or a very old Debenhams?

zoinkss · 17/03/2023 15:07

Looks like M&S to me

BossBerk · 17/03/2023 15:09

Definitely looks like an "is" at the end of John Lewis

😊

Ignorify · 17/03/2023 15:10

The clincher would be if someone else had a John Lewis label for 11/12 years and it was that shade of pink, but I agree with Nosecan that it looks like the same template. MN is so good at this stuff!

What 😂

BertieBotts · 17/03/2023 15:30

YY I think the font on that keep away from fire warning looks the same. Actually I think DS3 has a pair of John Lewis leggings. I'll have a look.

Sleepeazie · 17/03/2023 15:31

Colour coding looks like BHS to me

CiaoBellisima · 17/03/2023 15:32

Woolworths

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 17/03/2023 15:33

Definitely John Lewis but this is an old label
