Watching suffragette again and it just made me think that this is a film people should watch. Even if it’s only the once.

Will make sure dd will watch it when she’s old enough to understand and appreciate it.

Schindlers List is another one.

The Godfather and The Godfather 2. Especially the former.

MyGirlDaisy · 16/03/2023 18:21

1917

The Killing Fields
Platoon
Salvador
Philadelphia
La Vita e' Bella.
The Accused

I don't think I'll watch any of them again. Too raw. Yet so important.

For class:

The Godfather 1&2
Once Upon A Time In America
Educating Rita
The Mission

I love Schindlers List! I'd suggest
the Green Mile (Tom Hanks, wonderful sad movie)
It's A Wonderful Life (watched it as a child)
En Man Son Hater Ove (I definitely didn't type that right!) or the remake (again Tom Hanks)
the 'Hachiko' movie about the Japanese dog (forgot the name haha)
Marley and Me (God I cry everytime, it's the reason I got a dog for my kids)
Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt makes me rethink my marriage🤭)
Rain Man (My brother had special needs too so Raymond reminds me of him)

12 years a slave.
A patch of blue.
The pianist.

Lion.

I think it's one of the best things I've ever watched. It had me and dc (10 and 12) in tears and DH very close to welling up (and he doesn't cry).
