What exciting thing is happening in your house today?

I’m currently cleaning out my freezer… it hasn’t been done in years and the ice build up is thick.

I’ve been doing it since 8am this morning. Boiled water in a container and placing it in the freezer with the door partially closed.

It’s working. Slowly but surely it’s working. Makes me wish I never started doing it but now I’ve started as may as well finish. I’m at the worst part now. Just placed some fresh water in to allow it to melt and then I’ll go back and wipe it all clean

I've got a new butter dish. I've washed it and am waiting for it to dry, then I'll transfer the butter in. I'm excited.

Very exciting! I used to have a butter dish with a cow pattern on it. I was quite chuffed to bits with it. Dh not so much. He didn’t understand why we had to have a butter dish! It eventually went missing. Funny that

I’m not at home but I have put a beef stew in the oven and used the oven timer for the first time ever!

I need to feed 10 and my slow cooker isn’t big enough so I’m hoping to come home to a delicious smell wafting and feel like a domestic goddess but I might come home to carnage! 😬

I'm waiting for a preordered book to be delivered and then I'm taking it upstairs with a large bag of crisps and I'm going to lie in my bed and read for an hour before DS comes home from school. I am actually very excited at this

I'm brushing the dogs. Well, they find it quite exciting.

I'm in " charge " of the DGS (7) currently playing shop through the back of a dining chair 🤣

60kg of raw dog food is being delivered later, better make room in the freezer. Such excitement! 🙄

I'm tracking a Yodel driver online and wondering if he's going to arrive before we need to go out.

My gardener is moving my rhubarb

We have the tiler here doing the boys bathroom.. very exciting! Their new bathroom suite will be fitted next week, tiler back again tomorrow to finish.

Im going through the DCs wardrobes to get out holiday clothes so I can start packing soon. Also very exciting!!

Off to buy a new yard brush and attack the yard. Good brush and bleach.
Then hoover and mop whole house and few hours work on laptop. If it stays dry out for a walk b4 dinner which will be chicken curry.

DH took the car in for a service today and has been given a very nice courtesy car for the day (almost certainly as a temptation for us to upgrade when our finance plan finishes). He's currently considering taking it for a little drive to 'get the benefit' while I WFH.

Gardener is about 96 and at risk of keeling over as a result of the literal rhubarb moving let alone anything more strenuous. And DH is watching out of his office window!

Having my hallway floor sanded. Was a grey carpet, now we’re taking it back to original parquet flooring (1920’s house).

I’m loving seeing it change colour!

Well technically outside, but we saw water falling from the sky for about 20 minutes.
