What exciting thing is happening in your house today?

I’m currently cleaning out my freezer… it hasn’t been done in years and the ice build up is thick.

I’ve been doing it since 8am this morning. Boiled water in a container and placing it in the freezer with the door partially closed.

It’s working. Slowly but surely it’s working. Makes me wish I never started doing it but now I’ve started as may as well finish. I’m at the worst part now. Just placed some fresh water in to allow it to melt and then I’ll go back and wipe it all clean

My plumber is on day three of trying to take down a wall. He’s armed with something the size of a Howitzer. I’m eating a takeaway in the other room.

My hideous sore throat/ illness is slightly better so I'm going to wash my hair!

I'm unsure if anything exciting has ever happened in my house, frankly.

I do however have grand plans to descale the kettle today, the sachet has only been sat on the worktop for a month of two.

I’ve got my inbox right down so I can see the whole thing without scrolling.
The to-do list sadly can’t say the same.

And the cat’s having a really good nap.

Nothing at all apart from after school club meaning a later school run with easier parking logistics. It's a small win but I'll take it!

We're moving house soon, so I'm madly bunging stuff on Vinted in an effort to streamline my wardrobe. So far have sold some hair extensions!

Our pet mice have a new wheel being delivered today, my 4 year old is beyond excited to watch them play on it.

I'm currently putting off breaking up a shit ton of cardboard boxes for the recycling 😬The excitement.

Use a couple of hair dryers as well as the bowls of water.

Delivery finally arrived, only 1 hour and 20 minutes late...just excited it actually arrived !

Just got the tumble dryer fixed! It's been out of action for over a week and today it's back baby!

I removed DD's tooth from a tampon applicator earlier. I found it so exciting that I started my own thread about it. No one else agrees, but I'm quite pleased with the weirdness.

@PolkaDotMankini that really has to be the most random thing to have come across my screen!

Currently waiting for the painter to finish for the day before I can start playing the piano; hate doing it in front of other people.
Then it’s thinking about dinner before school pick-up. Feeling a bit lazy today; might get a takeaway. Actually, perhaps not lazy as have to move furniture back into another room that’s already painted, including putting some furniture back together.

I got approved for voluntary redundancy and it’s quite a lot of money. I’d been thinking of leaving anyway for about 6 months and then they announced the scheme so I decided to hang on in there just on the off chance. DH and I will finally be debt free, be able to pay a chunk off the mortgage and buy a new sofa 😆 Feeling quite giddy even though I know that none of that can happen until I’ve secured a new position.

DS 14 is carrying on with his teach himself how to cook and today made a stonkingly good French onion soup

So the fridge came while I was at work and only the 21 year old was home to let them in. She is mortified as the men couldn’t get it through the front door and had to come through the french windows in my bedroom. I’d rushed off to work and left it looking like a whirlwind had been through it.

Also they had to move the bed and uncovered a family of dust bunnies. I should feel ashamed but I just feel relieved that I wasn’t there.
