Badedas Showergel - used to use the bath foam & had forgotten how much I love the scent.

The library

I was spending a fortune on Kindle books. Then rediscovered the library

Shunter350 · 15/03/2023 19:12

Bus travel. Seriously. It costs me £2.40 from my place to the town. It'll cost me that to park the car!

parrotonmyshoulder · 15/03/2023 19:13

Knitting. Keeps my hands busy and is almost ‘mindful’.

QueSyrahSyrah · 15/03/2023 19:13

Crumpets.

MrsJamesofSutton · 15/03/2023 19:17

Fenjal, although it does make the bath slippery enough to break your neck when trying to get out!

minipie · 15/03/2023 19:19

Came on to say the library! Fabulous aren’t they? And I can get e books from mine too via the Libby app.

Also: sherry.

MrsRigmarole · 15/03/2023 19:23

Lion bars. How did I continually walk past the best chocolate bar for the last 30 odd years?!

NoraLuka · 15/03/2023 19:26

Liverpool FC. I supported them when I was younger then moved abroad and kind of lost touch with everything football related.

Wilkolampshade · 15/03/2023 19:29

Reading! Sounds awful but since my peri-menopause kicked in about 5 years ago had found it almost impossible to concentrate. Now, some new, better FIT HRT and I'm back in the reading room baby!!!

Robin233 · 16/03/2023 02:19

Oh sherry - not rediscovered but discovered
Totally my favourite drink now.
Totally underrated.

GarlicGrace · 16/03/2023 02:30

Fried bread 😂 Fried in lard. I had an inexplicable yen for it a couple of weeks ago, having spurned it since my working-class Black Country teens, so dug out the lard from the back of the freezer and bought a loaf of thick-sliced white. OMG, IT'S DELICIOUS!! I'm now having to ration myself.

Northernsouloldies · 16/03/2023 06:47

Definitely reading as pp have said, love the satisfaction of reading that last page and shutting the cover of a good book and reflecting I enjoyed that. 😁

That makes me so nostalgic for Saturday mornings of long ago. Swap Shop on the telly and Dad making everyone rounds of fried bread. I hope you were 'posh' and cut it into triangles for extra flavour Grin

DisplayPurposesOnly · 16/03/2023 07:40

Salad cream

BritInAus · 16/03/2023 07:51

Wispa bars. OMG!

Satsuma body wash from the Body Shop. Massive nostalgia from satsuma bubble baths as a kid.

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 16/03/2023 07:57

Love fried bread! Haven’t tried it with lard though. And love a chilled glass of sherry. Britinaus do you like Bodyshop pink grapefruit too? My absolute fav!

Our local library is fab & the staff all so friendly & super helpful. Loads goes on there - it’s a real community hub.

Love using Libby! I can't believe more people don't know about it?!

I really want to try sherry. Any recommendations of a small bottle that won't upset me if I don't actually like it? 😂

MumToTooManyBoys · 16/03/2023 09:22

Gin

BMrs · 16/03/2023 09:23

Sewing. I inherited my Nan's 70 year old singer and I love using it!

Ariela · 16/03/2023 10:31

Not fried bread but EGGY BREAD! We cooked it at camp as a Guide. Fabulous way to use up old bread.

wobblyweasel · 16/03/2023 10:35

Sherry is gorgeous, has to be Harvey's Bristol Cream though, is it too early for Sherry O'Clock? Grin I've rediscovered cross-stitch, did it years and years ago. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis in my hands, and although it is difficult to do at times, it has helped with my dexterity.

LadyKenya · 16/03/2023 10:36

HP sauce.
