Badedas Showergel - used to use the bath foam & had forgotten how much I love the scent.

That makes me so nostalgic for Saturday mornings of long ago. Swap Shop on the telly and Dad making everyone rounds of fried bread. I hope you were 'posh' and cut it into triangles for extra flavour Grin

That sounds lovely, and I shall definitely cut posh triangles next time! @Ariela, you're dead right - I rediscovered eggy bread the same day. My cardiovascular system may be grateful I demonised fried carbs for so long, but sod that!

I know this probably isn’t what you meant but a 40 year old friendship where life had happened and we’d drifted apart -it’s made me very happy

Clothes that did not fit me that i kept. Recently diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and have changed my lifestyle and have lost weight, spent an enjoyable time trying stuff on and packing up the too big stuff for charity whilst delighting in finding stuff i thought was too small now fits.

@BritInAus snap! Can’t believe it smells exactly as it did the 90s when we all used to buy each other’s gifts from The Body Shop. I had an elephant-shaped satsuma soap when I was ten that I was obsessed with (and a strawberry-scented rhino). Now I can smell it and feel ten again all the time! I got the body spray and hand cream 😍 (but heart-nose)

My dad was away a lot (Merchant Navy) but when he was home he'd do a proper fry-up. Fried bread and black pudding included. Haven't had fried bread for YEARS.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 16/03/2023 12:59

I like sherry, too. And port.

derelicte · 16/03/2023 13:11

A Touch of Frost and Poirot on the telly

LaRitournelle · 16/03/2023 13:14

Sanctuary body stuff, I rarely go into places like Boots but did on Monday and there was loads of Sanctuary products on offer, I picked up a few and forgot just how lovely that scent is. My skin is thanking me for it too!

Also Flake chocolate bars and Scouting for Girls/The Ting Tings.

MyMachineAndMe · 16/03/2023 13:17

Hobnobs dunked in hot tea. They were doing a dunking index on the radio this week and last and I was reminded of how much I love this snack. Unfortunately I also introduced my children to it and now have to share both the tea and the biscuits.

Snozzlemaid · 16/03/2023 13:20

Agatha Christie books. Been in a reading lull for ages but these have reignited my love of sitting down with a good book.

And as a result have also watched lots of Poirot and Miss Marple.

Cheese scones, I've not had them for years, but got some from M&S to have with soup. Warmed them up in the air fryer, and they were so delicious!

I'm a big sherry fan, Manzanilla is my favourite, dry and complex. Lovely with a few nuts and olives.

Crumpets.

Ooooooo me too!!
With lashings of butter and a good spread of marmite.

fluffy2buffy · 16/03/2023 14:04

Hot water bottles!

onepieceoflollipop · 16/03/2023 14:10

Soap instead of body wash/gels

peanut butter sandwiches quick lunch to take to work!

Hot water bottles!

Oooh, yes. I've got electric blankets for when it's really cold, but there's something extra comforting about a squishy pod of warmth that you can move around as required. This might be less appealing to those who sleep with a partner - I find a hot water bottle more convenient Wink

Crumpets.

There's Northern bakery called Greenhalgh's that sell Crumpet Loaf. It's a cross between crumpet and sliced loaf. The stuff is like crack. Amazing toasted.
They do mail order.
