Women who pout..

This is a genuine question because I don't get it...

Why do they do it?
Do men really find it attractive?

I don't know what they are trying to achieve. I'm not saying it's wrong or whatever, just curious as to what the pose is all about. No one seems to just smile anymore.

My niece does this. Pics on social media make me cringe. Even when she posts a pic with her little daughter.

I have quite full lips and I have been accused of pouting when I think 🤷‍♀️ I might, I don’t know. I’m thinking.

I do not pout or do duck face in photos, nor do I have filler (something else I’ve been accused of) but I think my mouth is just a bit pouty. I’m no sulker. 😬

have done since a young child my sister and my dad do too it’s how our mouths are shaped and one of those facial expressions that we just have must be in the genes

I don’t have particularly big lips but they are a little pouty

I don’t do those duck face photos

It’s always the same women who filter their face so much it looks like a computer generated image. I’m not sure who they think they are fooling, it’s so obvious it’s not really how they look…the biggest shame is some of them are naturally pretty.

Think they look ridiculous. Why can’t they just stand there, I don’t get it! And the men in my family just laugh at the trout pouters. Maybe some men like it. Horses for courses I suppose.

The best (worst?) Is the local paper photos. A serious, sometimes worrying article with the pouty filtered photo of the offended/offendee. Mental!

I find it incredibly uncomfortable when they're over 40... upper lip wrinkles too..

I have lip wrinkles so I'm not bashing them, but I wouldn't do anything to enhance them!!!!!

Someone I know (female aged 55!) has recently had some kind of cosmetic surgery abroad, which has completely altered her face to give that very sharp, sculptured look you see a lot on SM (sharp cheeks, cat eyes, VERY full lips). At the same time she had a boob job and tummy tuck.

She's now FLOODING her SM with the 'look up at the camera, chin down, big pout, boobs out' photographs. Not going to lie, the surgery has given her loads of confidence and she looks great! But the pouting thing is grim...just smile normally and put your boobs away! 🤦‍♀️
