Do you think the different colours of mini eggs taste different? DH and I can’t agree.

Yellow ARE different! And nicer! Seem to get less of them per pack than other colours. About 5 years ago Cadbury did bags with just yellows in, a summer thing, does anyone remember? Was a wish come true but short lived!

There are definitely fewer yellows than other colours in the pack now.

I think so. I remember it used to be a very noticeably different taste - kind of vanilla-y like custard powder was in the shell. But for years I’ve not been able to taste the difference at all and made my son feed me them while I had my eyes shut for a blind taste test - no difference (or potentially an extremely tiny difference) . It coincided with the recipe change which everyone was furious about at the time.

You can get dark chocolate mini eggs in the US. To do a proper taste test you'd need those as well. I'm sure at least one of the milk choc mini eggs tastes different but usually too busy shovelling them down to check!

Oh my god. I need these. (Though is it American-style chocolate or more like bourneville?)

The yellow ones definitely taste different and they are the best ones. I was gutted the other day when I had a bag with NO yellow mini eggs in at all. I was worried they had stopped doing them but luckily it was just a rogue bag.
