What is everyone up to this Saturday

We haven’t had a thread like this for a while …… or I haven’t seen it 😉

I find them so relaxing, think it’s the calm family weekend life .

so today I have been very lazy , and am currently binge watching the Bay in bed . Every time an episode finishes I go do a job so I don’t feel too lazy - washing is hung out and I have washed up haha

husband is out at work till nine ish , daughter has been to her maths tutor and now aT her Saturday job .

youngest is currently being parented by his Xbox , however, we are walking to pick some stuffed mushrooms from the olio lady when this episode ends in a bid to do something productive

I'm in Florida so just finishing my coffee out on the lanai. I'm having a staring contest at the moment with a gekko lizard on the other side of the screen. I can tell the little bastard wants to sneak in...not going to happen!

Fine Art festival downtown this afternoon, no doubt will spend money on something I don't really need (and will regret buying).

There's something on tonight at the park with food trucks and live music. Sometimes they're great, sometimes they're crap but it always beats cooking myslef😂

I've taken my son to his karate lesson & walked the dog while he was there, came home& did a couple of jobs. Went into town for a foot measure & change the boys pin card number with him. Came back with a mcdonalds so eating that at home thinking if I can be bothered I'll take the dog out again but he's happily snoring & is unaware that another walk is even an option so I may just have a cup of tea & read for a bit.

Got up, did a hot yoga class, cleaned utility room, washed kitchen floors, cleaned out fridge. Dd15 cleaned out 2 kitchen presses and under stairs. Dh did half a shop. Kids sports off today due to weather. Sd29 coming over later to cook a lamb tagine and ds30 and newly married (last week) sd26 coming over for dinner. Sds mother and all the partners will be here too before sd goes back to Vancouver tomorrow. Heading out with dogs for a walk and then need to pick up some more shopping, so good day all in all planned

I’ve cleaned and cooker a main meal (enough to do tomorrow too)

I love decluttering & have organised my kitchen cupboards and decanted things into clear containers - looking at stickers from Amazon to really make them look the part 😅

kids are having some screen time (we limit it) but it’s bliss - candles lit and maybe a movie

Got the bus into town with my 2yo DD, my DP and Dsis. Went for breakfast then to a kid's role play cafe. Got the bus home, DD fell asleep, now we're eating M&S iced spiced buns with coffee enjoying the peace. Will just play at home this afternoon and make lasagne for dinner.

An unusually productive Saturday morning...for me!
Stripped my bed, washed it all and it's on the line.
Dusted and hoovered my bedroom.

Hoovered stairs.

Second load on the line and third in machine.

Taken eldest to work.

Need to hoover front room but DH watching football, so will hang fire till that's ended.

I’m recovering from a bad cold and slept in until 1pm(!!)

Enjoying my coffee in the sunny kitchen and vaguely thinking about getting dressed.

Absolutely no guilt today. The children and their father are out doing something or other and the cat and I are taking it easy. Possibly some Netflix in a bit. Hoping to feel much better tomorrow

We just went for a walk, now relaxing. DS2 really hasn't been himself for the past few weeks he's extremely tired so I'm trying not to overwhelm him to much as we go away in a few weeks and need him back to normal. 🤞🏻

Went to the wonderful world of ikea. Started like it always does …happy and full of excitement. Finished like it always does…when…will…this…..be…over..how much further….

I have decided to never go there again..until next time!!

Have a nasty cold so have been laid on the sofa watching TV and cross stitching. DH has taken DS to his swimming lesson and the taken him and a friend to soft play and McDonald’s so I can rest ❤️

Had a lie in this morning, so didn't get out of bed until 10.30am. DS1 slept until lunch time (teen)!

DS1 and DD have been playing around taking stupid photos of themselves and editing them on the iPad. DH went to help a friend move house. I've been sorting our finances and doign a food shop online. And enjoying the MOTD drama via Twitter

We've all just had lunch, now DH is getting garden furniture out of the garage and I'm about to take DD to a birthday party.

DH is off to a birthday meal for his colleague this evening, so I'm dropping him there after, then back to get DD before collapsing in front of the TV with a takeaway and a glass of gin this evening!

Haha why is Ikea like this? I love going there, but always find myself swearing Never Again by the end!

It’s a love hate relationship!

I love these threads too, something very comforting reading them.

I live in Germany and Ds2 is 6 weeks old. My mum flew over a few days ago to spend 3 weeks with us. She spent the morning playing with ds1 while dh held ds2 for his nap and I was able to spend a few hours doing some jobs around the house (it feels so nice to move around a bit after sitting on my butt for the last few weeks!) We all had a nice lunch together then coffee and pastries. Ds1 had some TV time while we chatted, now he's playing with my mum again and I'm doing the ds2 nap. DH is doing odd-jobs now.
We'll probably watch a movie tonight!

Had a lie in this morning then headed to a nearby gallery to see an exhibition we'd been meaning to visit for a while.
Followed this by heading to a restaurant for lunch where a considerable quantity of cheese was consumed 😋
Now just chilling at home for a little while, might go to the cinema later or just watch a film here instead.

Off out to see band in Leeds tonight with husband and son and his mates.

Just returned from the cold rain running errands. Bought a new book in the charity shop and a bottle of red. Both kids at friends until bedtime, i plan to sit, read and slurp.

Go first thing in the morning, its the only way i can cope with it
Load the car up and return to cafe for breakfast x

Went for coffee in the city then home for dc homework. Endless drizzle is depressing me!

Partner is at work and I'm looking after our toddler and hoping the snow melts so I can get the car out later. Our lovely neighbours have taken my son with their son to have fun in the snow. It's nice to see what everyone is up to, I'm in agreement with @Doowop1919

Droped dc with his dad,done the horses, walked the dog, cleaned the house, and now im in bed scrolling mn while i wait for my boyfriend to arrive so we can have a cosy night in.

I made all our work lunches for the week and spring cleaned the house. I felt very productive! Now settled in front of the TV with a beer waiting for the rugby.

Trying to save money so embracing chilled weekends like this.

Had a lay in til 7:30 from the usual 6am start 😂lazed around for the morning with the kids watching cartoons, sent them off upstairs for a bit to play hide and seek while i cleaned the living room,then took dd1 to town to spend her birthday money she bought herself a hoodie and some lights for her room and I bought myself a new book from the charity shop. Came home and we had lunch, Dd2 and ds were playing minecraft nicely together instead of fighting so that was great. Played with the kids a bit, read a bit of my book, had toenails painted by dd3. Procrastinating cleaning the kitchen, making a chilli for dinner. When kids go to bed later I will prob binge new series on Netflix that I'm watching and have some bailey's :)

Took the dog for a long walk on the Downs early and no one else was about. It was bliss.

Went to Lidl and stocked up on nice things, then came home and made pasta with two glasses of red.

Now feeling lazy and having a lie down. Might watch the rugby or read the papers later. I was planning another dog walk but the rain has set in

Tag teaming with hubby looking after our four month old. Had a nice homemade brunch with bits from M&S. Hubby pushed me to go out and get my nails done this pm as a treat. Exhausted but at least I had 20 minutes to myself.
