Mine were Grandad and Nanna and Mamma.
My own children had Grandad and the rest used their first names.
I'm now Nan to one (which is what dil calls her own Grandma) and gangan to the other.

Mine were Grandma and Grandad and Nanny and Grandad.

My parents are Granny and Grandpa (although dad was Pa for a long long time). My DD’s paternal grandparents are Nanny and Grandad.

One is Nanny, one is Nanna. There are a lot of Grandads in the loop due to split families, great grandparents etc so Grandads are Grandad First Name. My step dad is Pops.

My Dd always called my ex husband's mum Nanny, and my mum,Grandma, which I thought was quite old fashioned, and It was what I called both my grandmothers (never knew my grandfather's,both died before I was born). My granddaughter calls me Nan or Nanna.

Duckmylife · 25/05/2023 04:16

Grandma and Grandad, then Nanna and Granda (they are from Manchester)

JacobsCrackersCheeseFogg · 25/05/2023 05:34

Maternal: Nanna & Grandad
Paternal: Grandad. Step-grandmother was addressed by her first name. Actual grandmother (who died years and years before DD was born) is referred to as Nanny (name).

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 25/05/2023 05:45

As a child, I had Grandma & Grandad on DM’s side & Grandma & Grandpa on DF’s. DD calls my parents Grandma & Grandad. DH’s DM was also Grandma ( I never knew DH’s DF).

IHeartGeneHunt · 25/05/2023 05:46

Granny (DM) and Grandma (DMIL). Sadly, both grandfathers never lived to meet their grandchildren but are likely to have been Grandad (DF) and Grandpa (DFIL)
