What do your children call their grandparents?

Mine were Grandad and Nanna and Mamma.
My own children had Grandad and the rest used their first names.
I'm now Nan to one (which is what dil calls her own Grandma) and gangan to the other.

We are asian so names are different. Maternal grandparents are nano (I called my nan, nani but my mum prefers nano) and nana. Paternal grandparents: dada-abu and dadi-ma. The kids call their paternal great gran, big dado. Both sets of my grandparents are long gone but I do miss them.

Mine have three sets due to step parents on my side. We have:

Nana and Grandad
Nana and Grandpa
Granny and Gramps

Mainly picked by the adults. Two wanted Nana so one is Nana Scotland as they live in Edinburgh (we're in England)

My parents/ in-laws chose for themselves. My parents are grandma and grandad, my in-laws are nanny and grandad. DC2 did go through a phase of calling them grandad John and grandad Tom, I didn’t even know she knew their first names.

He’s called them all by their first names since he was a toddler. After they had a summit about dividing up granny/grandma/granddad/grandpa etc.

Love this.
