What has irrationally upset you today?

Here's mine.

A few weeks ago DPs car was stolen. The police found it about 10 days ago and it's in a horrible mess but insurers have decided to repair so it's at the garage for who knows how long.

DP managed to go and empty the contents from the car. A lot of things missing - little bits of cash obviously, tow rope, tyre pump, jump start leads etc. etc...

But what has really upset me??

I had a new pack of fruit pastilles in there and the b*stards have eaten 2/3 of the packet. How could they? I actually burst into tears when I saw which is completely and utterly irrational. I've put the rest in the bin - can't stand the thought of eating them now. Sad

Finding out the bloody bus timetable is being changed again and I will have to leave 15 mins earlier

At least this time I was told and looked into it. Last time I didn't find out until I turned up at the stop

I get you OP! My car was stolen a few years ago, subsequently recovered dirty, but undamaged. My daughter had left a painting she'd done at nursery on the back seat, but it wasn't there when the car was found.

The offender was caught and jailed, perhaps he hung it in his cell wall.

In denial he’s losing his hearing husband not hearing the doorbell while I’m struggling with hands full and I called to him to get the door (he didn’t hear that either) and he obliviously disappears to run water in the kitchen sink and meanwhile I’m trying to put fragile things down so I can rush to the front door before the delivery man gives up. I have limited mobility so actually hurt myself. Not a happy bunny after that.

Took the day off for a medical appointment only to have the appointment rescheduled 45 minutes before I was meant to leave. Now I’ve wasted a whole day of leave.

I woke up early (before alarm clock) feeling completely refreshed. This was annoying because Wednesday mornings is slimming world day and I weigh in at 8.30 after the school run, then have my breakfast afterwards. I try and have a lay in on a Wednesday (so until 7 as opposed to my usual wake up time of 6.30) so I’m not sitting around hungry for too long, so waking up bright and refreshed at 6am this morning was really frustrating.

Harangued by the boss at work today. He's new, hasn't made any effort with the staff except his few favourites, is poor at communicating, assumes everyone knows what HE wants but we don't if he doesn't say, so we can't provide it....

An issue arises, we need clarification, he demands I 'attend' his office and has a go at me, not even sure what I've done wrong but suspect this is just an excuse to yell at me. I remain calm and professional while in the office, thank him very much and leave....

Have a bloody good cry when I'm well away from the office, on my own afterwards. At my age I should be able to rise above it, but inside I'm really upset.....

The people in the team adjoining my team had a little birthday gathering for their team leader and they had Konditor cake with buttercream and they didn't offer me any

They didn't offer any to anyone outside their own team and it was a small cake

but still

I'm in charge of implementing a policy for my team. Central changed the policy two days ago without telling anyone, and the forms can't be accessed, and we have no guidance or training on the new process. I have some items that have been submitted based on the old policy and I don't know if I can progress it. Fucking nuisance. I would be more annoyed but actually the new policy is much better overall. Just the roll out has been smelly arse.

Payment card wasn't accepted at "Pay at the Pump" so I had to "Pay at the Kiosk". Not a biggie, except the shop assistant had just been shelf stacking and a bottle had been dropped and split on the floor and she took AGES to clean it up while I was waiting to pay! Grrr.

Being bollocked at work for not getting through my cases fast enough - despite me only being back from maternity for 3wks after a year. I've already worked 12hrs for free on unpaid overtime and missed my DD birthday so far.

They've given me no time to catch up on what I've missed, no time to do all the training that needs catching up on or time to check the changes in the law that I need to know to do my job.

And to make it worse no one from management had even spoken to me until today since I've been back.
