What has irrationally upset you today?

Here's mine.

A few weeks ago DPs car was stolen. The police found it about 10 days ago and it's in a horrible mess but insurers have decided to repair so it's at the garage for who knows how long.

DP managed to go and empty the contents from the car. A lot of things missing - little bits of cash obviously, tow rope, tyre pump, jump start leads etc. etc...

But what has really upset me??

I had a new pack of fruit pastilles in there and the b*stards have eaten 2/3 of the packet. How could they? I actually burst into tears when I saw which is completely and utterly irrational. I've put the rest in the bin - can't stand the thought of eating them now. Sad

A house I like has been removed from Rightmove. I'm not in a position to buy it or anything, I just liked looking at it. It was perfect.

Having a fairly hard-core medical procedure done and my husband not letting me talk about it, nor indeed talk about anything unconnected to his work or the news. Ever.

He is most likely autistic (no interest in assessment as he is narcissistic alongside the autism and is therefore in his own eyes the perfect husband) and if I could go back in time I would tell past me to run for her life before her choices were a) disappear into perpetual loneliness, invisibility and erosion OR b) become a disabled single parent dealing with a vengeful money-obsessed man who will hate the fact that divorcing him will make him look bad and embarrass him.

The fact that the stress of him destroying me will make me more ill and disabled will be of no consequence to him, even though it will impact on our DC hugely.

So actually none of this is irrational.

Having to call back a customer about something work related (financial paperwork) that I’d left detailed (and straightforward) case review notes about.

It’s not my job to do this bit, but yet again certain members of my team ‘don’t like speaking to customers’. It’s their feckin job!!!!
That said he was lovely but I’m sick of it.

Dithery driving from a car I was following...18mph in a 30, refusing to overtake a cyclist when it was unquestionably suitable to do so (the cyclist even looked to see what she was up to) breaking for a green light, no indication at a junction and hesitating at roundabouts.

Aghhhh

@SquirrelSoShiny I'm sorry it sounds like you're in an awful positon. Would you like to tell us about your medical procedure here? I hope you're not feeling too rubbish after it, sometimes the procedures hurt more than the thing that led us to need it in the first place. Flowers

A lady in the hospital waiting room with her mum and they were lovely with each other. Mine is not lovely, nothing I do is ever good enough and never really has been. Everyone else is always better.
