Sooo many brands and would love some personal recommendations please for full length leggings for

-running/walking/hiking
-fit size 14/16 with tummy
-high-waisted
-wash and last well
-flattering/slimming/sculpting
-comfortable.
-Not garish memorable patterns.

Happy to pay a reasonable amount for a couple of perfect pairs.

I love my Sweaty Betty leggings

BeautifulDayintheneighbourhood · 25/02/2023 23:09

Following with interest. They either fall down all the time , go baggy or aren’t flattering. Or material is too thick or too thin.

mynameiscalypso · 25/02/2023 23:09

Seconding Sweaty Betty. Live in mine generally and they last really well. Worth the £.

I got a great pair from Morrisons of all places, black, long, high waist, thick waist band £8!!!

SweatyBetty Power is what you need!

TokenGinger · 25/02/2023 23:17

Sculpt Activewear do incredible leggings. They're high waisted with a tie waist and never fall down. I saw a discount code WHODARESWINS for 20% off too.

emsmum79 · 26/02/2023 00:25

I love my under armour leggings. I'm size 16/18 and they are flattering.

BeckettandCastle · 26/02/2023 00:26

Mine are from m&s - good move. They were recommended to me as sweaty betty dupes & only cost £27.50. I love them

Totalwasteofpaper · 26/02/2023 01:02

I dont like sweaty betty power leggings. They tend to linger in the bottom of my drawer.
My go-to are lululemons just the classic black ones or nike full length running leggings.

SabbatWheel · 26/02/2023 01:16

I have a few pairs of these for running and also use them as jodphurs (phone pockets both sides are really secure).
Cheap as chips, super quality for the price and wash well.

G4Free leggings

KenAdams · 26/02/2023 01:23

Definitely Lululemon

DailyEnergyCrisis · 26/02/2023 01:38

the consensus at my fitness class is that sweaty Betty powers aren’t good for apple shapes. Personally I prefer fabletics powerhold. Sign up for the vip subscription then cancel immediately and get them cheap as chips.

Rebel2 · 26/02/2023 01:44

I'm a 16/18 with a stomach but hourglass shape if that makes sense? Attractive not

Sweaty Betty power are good on me and also peloton cadent leggings - they're two v different ones though! Peloton cadent are incredibly soft, stretchy and come up really high. I find I wish the power were a bit higher but they are more supportive feeling but not as stretchy or soft

Copperoliverbear · 26/02/2023 01:53

Sweaty Betty x

Could you post a link please?

Lucy Locket Loves - I have a draw full, it’s all I wear.

The side pocket ones are higher waisted

Honeybee8409 · 26/02/2023 07:54

Lululemon align or fast/free. Much better than sweaty betty.

Name999999 · 26/02/2023 07:57

How do those with bellies handle under belly sweat when wearing these leggings?!

TheOriginalMrsMoss · 26/02/2023 08:34

If you can't stretch to Lululemon or Sweaty Betty prices I can highly recommend the USA Pro high waisted ones from Sports Direct. They are really flattering, comfortable and have a large in-line phone pocket.

I lost 3 stone last year and I was able to buy 3 sets of gear inexpensively each time I lost a chunk of weight. They wash and dry in a flash and I think having nice things to wear and it not costing £££ to move to the next size down helped enormously.

eurochick · 26/02/2023 08:42

Sweaty Betty don't work for me. To fit on the legs and hips they gape at the back of my waist.

My favourites for running are ronhill. Not fashion leggings but fit me really well and last years. I also have some Under Armour that work well on me.

AuntieStella · 26/02/2023 08:43

Sweaty Betty really aren't work the extra expense over the mid-range brands which are just as good.

Try Tikiboo (many garish, but they have plain options too)

Or for unbeatable VFM and very high quality, Decathlon - they have various length and weights of fabric (and really good pockets)

Also dhb - Wiggle's own brand

Tryingtoremainsane · 26/02/2023 08:48

Moody leggings- small business and profits go to women's mental health charity!

I have a number of pairs and they wash brilliantly, squat proof and never budge at the waist- highly recommend

McSleepy · 26/02/2023 08:49

I second the M&S good move leggings. Ordered some at the same time as Sweaty Betty ones and sent those back as they came up thin in comparison (could be my thighs though!!) I have no idea how to link but they are called Go Move Printed High Waisted Gym Leggings/ Go Move High Waisted Gym Leggings, all £27.50 each. I have 3 pairs now and happy with all.

UsernamePain · 26/02/2023 08:55

Gymshark are fab. High waisted, don’t go see through and wash well. I’ve had a pair for 4 years now and they look and feel like new.

changedforonenightonly · 26/02/2023 08:57

Queenie ke from Amazon are brilliant. High waisted. Suck your tummy in. Don't fade or become thin after washing for over a year. They are about £25 and come with or without pockets and are high waisted.
