I’ll start with 50 shades of grey. I have absolutely no interest in this what so ever

Me too. They had excerpts pg the book on s mredpsper"s magazine. Appalling tosh, badly written. It was quite laughable.

Deathraystare · 23/02/2023 10:40

Haha. This is also badly written!!!

Game of Thrones ... no idea why not, but it just never appeals to me even though I know loads of people who rave about it.

cassiatwenty · 23/02/2023 10:47

@Biffatcrafts Same, a bit too stressful for me. Also the House of Dragon.

SuchAFunAge · 23/02/2023 10:49

Game of Thrones for me too! I don't know, just the thought of it makes me feel exhausted.

WinterIsComingKnitFaster · 23/02/2023 10:56

Happy Valley. I'm sure it's as good as everyone says, but it doesn't sound like what I want to watch to relax. If I'm going to see terrible people doing terrible things and good people having awful things happen to them then I want dragons and fit blokes with big swords to sweeten the pill.

WildRosie · 23/02/2023 10:59

Way too many to mention. I haven't been to the cinema since 1995 and I hardly watch television now, apart from news and weather. I don't read much either. My Mum was, I think, slightly disappointed that I wasn't a bookworm when I used to make up quite good stories at school. Then, she used to read Mills and Boon so had no place to talk!

Popular culture has largely passed me by. I'm not a sports fan either. The last time I went to the theatre was to see Bottom.

Pascha · 23/02/2023 11:00

I've never seen game of thrones either. Or the Harry Potter films (tho I did enjoy the books some years ago) , most of Star wars and all the Marvel/DC stuff. Oddly enough I really enjoy other scifi and fantasy but these I just can't bring myself to look at.

Giggorata · 23/02/2023 11:03

50 Shades also, and Morse, Downton, Bridgerton, Ozark, 24 and another really long TV thing I can't remember the name of.
All the superhero films, far too many for me.

Beaverbridge · 23/02/2023 11:06

Game of Thrones
Greys Anatomy
Sons of Anarchy

Biffatcrafts · 23/02/2023 11:08

So happy to discover I'm not the only one not watching Game of Thrones 🤣 I was beginning to think I was some kind of weirdo for not watching it.

REP22 · 23/02/2023 11:10

I've never seen The Sound of Music or Bednobs and Broomsticks. I was once forced to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as a child and I hated it.

No to 50 Shades, Game of Thrones as well. I did watch the first two Twilight films but only because I was in hospital and desperately bored and one of the bedside TV channels was showing them.

Same, I have no reason not to want to try it I just dont

That one with Sarah Lancashire recently

NoraLuka · 23/02/2023 11:15

I haven’t even tried to watch any Marvel films at all, ever. Not even sure why, they can’t be that bad or they wouldn’t be so popular!

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 23/02/2023 11:17

Virtually everything made after 2016. That’s when entertainment and information seemed to vanish, to be replaced with virtue signalling, tick box casting and endless preaching about climate change, right wing conspiracies etc etc.

Thank heavens for ITV 3, 5 USA, Drama and ( sometimes ) Pick.

I have a wall full of books already.

Riverlee · 23/02/2023 11:21

The Disney Princess films

Tulips365 · 23/02/2023 11:21

Another one saying GoT. I actually really want to watch it, but way too much glorified violence/sexual violence for me.

Actually, there are loads of popular things I would want to watch, but don't because of the above.

A soulmate (apart from the books). Although I did go to the cinema within living memory - think it was 'Dunkirk' - and have been to the theatre this year.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 23/02/2023 14:31
