Hot mini sugar cinnamon doughnuts?

Does anyone remember those bags of hot freshly made mini doughnuts coated in sugar and cinnamon?

you would find them made in vans at sometime carnivals, funfairs or the beach and if your lucky you would just stumble upon one at a big food mall.

anyone know what im talking about and if you can still get them.. where?

im in London and the last time i saw one was as a kid but i have really been craving them for a while and now im pregnant it is so much worse! Even greggs used to do mini doughnuts that stopped years ago and i now cannot find anything similar!

im tempted to go to Westfields to get one of those sugar cinnamon pretzels 🥨 that come hot! Its the closest thing i can think of but dont think it will quite be what im looking for!

If i even knew what they were called that would be a start but if anyone knows of where sells them then thats even better!

OP, I'm happy to inform you that the Doughnut Man of Dalston is very competitively priced: £1.50 for 3 or £2 for 6 (I ALWAYS get 6)! I had some yesterday... my pregnancy cravings for them haven't gone even though my baby is four months old now 🤔. Here's how to find it: head into the shopping centre opposite Dalston Kingsland station. The entrance to the shopping centre is flanked by a Costa and Aldis, you can't miss it. Walk straight through. Ignore the popcorn stand....you'll pick up the delicious doughnutty aroma near Specsavers...go past Sainsburys on your right and the Doughnut Man is at the end, opposite Matalan (which does quite nice baby clothes if you're looking for a cover story as to why you needed to visit Dalston).

Haha I still haven’t gone and seemed these doughnuts out yet! Got some serious PGP and whenever I go out and walk for what doesn’t even seem like 20 minutes I’m in agony! Dalston is likely the closes place I can think of out of all the options available and Living near Stratford, Westfields Mr. pretzels are the next best and we went to Westfields about a month ago and they still existed there so hopefully if I get to Stratford anytime soon I will pick some up.. Better yet would be to find that place in Dalston (which knowing me I’d get lost, not find it and be frustrated and annoyed😅).

I feel like at this rate the next time I see or taste these little doughnuts will be once the baby is born and it would be my luck to not even want them by then haha🤦🏽‍♀️

I got some on the southbank last summer

Not really helpful if you want them right now but we had them hot in a cone from the Christmas market in York last year. We've booked a trip again with the grandchildren for December and the first thing they mentioned when told was the doughnuts !

I put Tesco ring donuts in the oven and then sprinkle with sugar cinnamon, very close substitute

I read your post title and immediately thought, ooo yes please! Which is very unlike me, especially at this time in the morning. Then realised it's because I'm (newly) pregnant and smiled when I read you are too!

These guys do fresh churros in Oxford Street, Fulham and Brixton- but the van on the South Bank seems like the winner.

Tim Hortons do timbits and recently they have a cinnamon glazed which tastes a lot like the seaside doughnuts.
