Madeleine McCann??

Who's seen the news and insta page of a polish girl claiming she COULD BE Madeleine McCann??

I personally don't think she is Maddie and I unfortunately think Maddie isn't alive anymore although I really want to believe she is. I do think this girl needs help though.

She isn't the first girl claiming to be Madeleine though either. I'm just sitting back and watching the story unfold.

Everyone is giving mixed opinions so what do YOU think?

Someone coming up with a theory that they drugged their kids isn't something people should be repeating. If the tests they did on the twins proved they weren't drugged it is just malicious to be saying that.

Well if giving a child calpol is drugging them I plead guilty. Maybe we could play a version of I'm Spartacus and anyone who has even giving a child a spoonful of Calpol (other paracetamol or ibuprofen syrups are available) could confess.

I've only ever followed this loosely over the years as the whole thing is just crazy but I seem to remember a Netflix documentary (I didn't see it but remember the headlines) on the subject of dosing up the kids with Calpol. Pretty sure that the McCanns wouldn't be able to prove that either way. But I suspect that's the whole "drugging" theory reference.

My youngest cycled Calpon and Ibuprofen two hourly for three days when she had Croup to help control her temperature. She's 19 now, do I still need to hand her over to child services?

I can remember that the children being drugged, was discussed in more than one of the national newspapers, along with other theories, shortly after Madeleine disappeared! I guess we’ll never know what actually happened. However, I do agree with @Wonnle in the respect that, if the parents were lower class they would have been charged with child neglect! It was one of the things I thought at the time… how the hell could they go out and leave their kids alone like that?

As far as I am aware, the parents have never admitted that they did anything wrong, leaving their children alone in the apartment. I think if they had turned round and said that they would never forgive themselves for doing so and admitted that their actions led to Madeleine’s disappearance, less people would be saying things like this. The lack of acceptance of any blame, didn’t go down well with many people!

I’ve just watched the tik tok a few times. The young woman doesn’t look much like the aged up examples of Madeleine. I imagine if the police thought there was a likelihood, they’d pursue. It’s so very sad.

Age-progressed photos prove nothing. When Jaycee Dugard was found alive eighteen years after her abduction, she looked nothing like her age-progressed photos.

I just looked at the insta and actually think it is uncanny. She looks a lot like Gerry when she smiles.

I honestly thought she couldn’t possibly be alive sadly.

But having seen the side by sides I am not writing it off.

I think it's very unlikely that this is her. The mark in her eye is in the wrong position and her lips are very different.

I don't think she is lying though. I think she is genuinely troubled. The best thing to do would be to get a DNA test done quickly to rule it out, and then she can move on from this.

My eldest is 50, he was definitely a Calpol baby. Not sure what they'd do with him.

It looked about a mm off on one close up photo

Some people look very different to their childhood photos, but the side by side with madeleines sister is (to me) uncanny

Yes, apparently the Mccans have agreed to a DNA test. I wonder how many of those they’ve done over the years for other people claiming to be Madeline?

Surprised there aren’t more threads/ people talking about this tbh. Let’s face it, she probably isn’t MM but I know I would be willing to do 1000 DNA tests if it meant I might get my daughter back.

I think they have the dna on file, no? Or does it not work that way? I am haven't seen the side by side with Amelie. I'm sure the McCanns don't appreciate that.

This girl doesn't have M's distinctive eyes ftom her Mum. Heavy dark lashes like her sister . No dimples. It's sad for everyone.
