Is 'Amazon Shopper Panel' the correct app to choose for collecting parcels from an Amazon locker?

I've never done this before but I thought I'd save on the delivery fee. I didn't realise there'd be so many Amazon apps.

Oh I see! I never use Bluetooth. I hope they don't change my local lockers, sick of all this bloody tech.

I've just had a look on google maps as the lockers near me are at a petrol station but they're behind a flag so I can't see if they have a screen or not? 😂

I don’t know how old an S7 is, but if you really truly cannot get the app, it may be your software in the phone is either not updated or the phone is too old to be updated with new running software.

if you cannot retrieve your parcel, it is automatically sent back and a refund is issued. Then just reorder either to a different locker or to another physical address such as your home/friend/workplace or it may be eligible to send to a Royal Mail depot for collection from there.

Until I learn different I'll just have to assume that my phone can't support the app software and that stops it showing up in my Play Store. At least I know what the app looks like now. Super weird though that there are so many other Amazon apps (I had no idea) but not the bloody one I want! I resent spending on a new phone when this one works perfectly well but it is 7yrs old now and I know that's considered ancient..

@LoveMAFS Just googled your phone and it is no longer updateable to run on new running/background software updates .
this means it will still work but updates on some apps will not be possible. Looks this is why you cannot upload the correct Amazon app, as they do update very frequently for security and de bugging.

The app isn’t supported for android versions 7 (Nougat) and below (also ios 12 and below). If the app isn’t showing in the store then it’s likely your phone os is too old.

You want Amazon SHOPPING.

PS my s8 has the Amazon app and you're only one phone model behind me and I would be shocked if one of the biggest apps worldwide wasn't still supported.

Are you signed into Google on your phone? Can't see the (brown logo) app on Samsung galaxy store. But you will find the correct app on Google play store? Download from there.

Example: pic 1 is the galaxy store which gives two or three pages of the wrong one. Pic 2 is the first result in Google play store.

That’s exactly what it is. Designed to persuade(force) a customer too always buy the newer model.
You can mitigate somewhat as there are usually other ways to get your end desire, or you do upgrade - but buy second hand a cheaper, newer product and few slightly virtuoso in the process.

but yes it sucks and will exclude people from so much (some necessary aspects of life) if they can’t upgrade expensive hardware or find other work around a.

It's not very environmentally friendly, such a constant and rapid change-over in phones. Maybe one day we'll just swap in/out new chips.

They email you a 6 digit code to input, or a qr code to scan, to open the lockers. I've never opened one with Bluetooth??

It's worth checking to see if you can update to android 8 (oreo) for free, it looks like it should have been available for free for an S7 but unclear if it’s still possible. Or you could jailbreak it.
