OP posts:
PureBlackVoid · 03/02/2023 21:56

Yes

Jayneisagirlsname · 03/02/2023 21:59

Not really. I could change my figure if I tried but most the rest is just me.
I suppose I accept and try not to pick on myself too much.

sunseaandme · 03/02/2023 22:05

Absolutely not. Nearly 6 month post partum and not one single pound of baby weight has been lost. Need to sort myself out!!

TheChosenTwo · 03/02/2023 22:08

Yeah pretty much. I could lose a few lbs but at the end of the day it’s superficial and I’m not bothered enough to do it.
I’m not especially attractive, but I’m not horrified when I look in the mirror. I go barefaced 99% of the time.
I’ve had 3 kids and I’m not 19 any more, I’m happy with my lot overall though, I think that’s key for me. At times in my life when I’ve struggled in general I’ve been more critical of how I look and scrutinised various aspects of my appearance. I’m happier now and those things matter less to me.

lljkk · 03/02/2023 22:11

yes. It's not that I look nice, but it's not important to me, so easily contented.

AnneLovesGilbert · 03/02/2023 22:15

I’m hugely pregnant but wearing it okay. My hair looks great, my face is very dry. I’m generally very content and that extends to how I look. I don’t think about it that much at the moment.

MadameDe · 03/02/2023 22:16

Yes. I like my figure - curves in the right places and I like my smile.

I'm very shy though and because I've had to work really hard at being less shy I talk a lot of shit. Everyone has a weakness.

wtfisgoingonhere21 · 03/02/2023 22:18

I'm two stone heavier than I used to be so losing that would get rid of the moomin face and my hefty bottom half.

It's not so much how I look but how it makes me feel I guess

Heavy slower and not very nimble so I'm working on it

It's been a tough few years and my eye bags and wrinkles are ageing my face quicker than I'd like

Anotheronestatisticssuck · 03/02/2023 22:22

Most of the time, I'm fairly ugly but this only bothers me every so often. I have a lot of other strengths and things going for me. My looks haven't held me back, I have a job I enjoy, a lovely husband and lovely children
But sometimes I do look in the mirror and think ugh

Moonface31 · 03/02/2023 22:23

Body yes, not a thing I would change, face no. I've always wanted the bump taking out of my nose and I've got noticeably deeper 11s in the last year (I'm 35). You can't have everything I guess.

Stickmansmum · 03/02/2023 22:33

Yeah, I’m me. Nobody else has this face and body. So that’s something.

minnor · 03/02/2023 22:38

Sometimes, no. I have insecurities, as does everyone.

But most of the time, yes. I learned to think that it was shallow, that there's nothing I can change and love myself for who I am. There's much bigger things in life than what you look like and always someone who'll think you're beautiful anyway.

FenghuangHoyan · 03/02/2023 22:41

No. I've reached an age where there's no hiding I'm old. Also I'm my ideal weight for my height, but I look skinny.

That said, when I look at pictures of younger me, I think they looked pretty good and at the time I had no idea, so maybe I'm a lot better looking now than I realise.

One benefit of being older is that I care a lot less about how I look which is a relief.

SadadassoSad · 03/02/2023 22:45

No . Late 50s and have heavy eyelids so struggle to keep eyes open…awful for me and my confidence!

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 03/02/2023 22:51

Face yes, body no! Step away from the wine and crisps ranout!

JamSandle · 03/02/2023 22:57

Yes.

Cosycover · 03/02/2023 22:58

Nah.
I have a nice face but have been two stone overweight for about 10 years now.

No excuses tbh. I eat too much.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 03/02/2023 23:00

I fundamentally like the way I look - I can’t imagine having anyone else’s face - but I just need to lose some goddamned weight!

AtSomePointInLife · 03/02/2023 23:00

Not really, piling on the pounds this winter. Joined a gym but too tired and just not motivated. I'm pale looking, dark eyes. I always look/feel this way in winter it's shit 😔 I'm 48.

MovinOnUp · 03/02/2023 23:01

I'm four stone overweight, if I lost that and toned up I would look fantastic (with the help of a good bra anyway, massive boobs no matter how slim I am)

I'm pretty happy with my face overall, I would like to be less jowly and have whiter teeth though.
I've a few fine lines and wrinkles but I'm okay with that.

LolaFerrari · 03/02/2023 23:01

I look old and short. So no.

Mumoffairy · 03/02/2023 23:04

Yes.

LadyWithLapdog · 03/02/2023 23:05

Yes. Could do with a few pounds less, though.

SquirrelFan · 03/02/2023 23:09

No.

WorryMcGee · 03/02/2023 23:10

No. I’m 9 months post c section, and 4 months into cancer treatment - two surgeries, 6 rounds of chemo so far. I don’t even recognise myself anymore, I’ve never felt so repulsive in all my life. I’ve aged about 10 years, my hair’s rapidly falling out, I’ve got 1.5 boobs and my stomach’s a mess. Hate it hate it hate it all.
