Help me choose a colour for the kitchen walls!

Can someone help me choose a paint to go with our sage green kitchen cupboards, please!

I feel boring and stuck in an interior design rut. Throw me a line of inspiration.

Rural cottage if that helps.

Sunshine yellow

Nooo!
We've just moved into a house with a sunshine yellow kitchen. It's vile.

GreenBiscuitr · 01/02/2023 21:13

White. Jasmine white if you want something softer. Then bring in detail with a blind/tea towels/bits & pieces etc.

Sexypyjamas · 01/02/2023 21:15

This is the best I can come up with.
I would say white was my favourite or the cream.

The largest two walls are 4 metres in length. Base units on one wall, no wall cupboards. The 'clear' wall is galleried, so very high ceiling.

Another wall has windows and doors.

Last wall has two large openings into dining area.

I can't get a photo as I'm stuck under a cat!

I'm not sure about white in a country cottage kitchen with kids!

Where's this from? Maybe one of the darker creams?

Little Greene do ones called Portland stone which is a soft greenish stone colour. But if by sage green we’re talking a more blue-tinged dusky colour then a pale dusky rose or clotted cream or clay colour might work? I’ve got the same decision to make and have been staring at little squares of neutral paint all afternoon 😂

Celinia · 01/02/2023 21:22

What colour is your floor and worktops?

Oblomov22 · 01/02/2023 21:25

We need a couple of pictures of walls, floor, worktop, sage green cupboards, before we can advise.

Spinxsta · 01/02/2023 21:32

Pink!

There's no floor down at the minute. It'll be an engineered darkish oak floor.

The work surface is pain in the arse oak!

Most of the kitchen is covered under plastering crap... and I'm happily under a cat.

We just painted our kitchen a sage green (F&B vert de terre). We went Wimborne white for the walls.

LemonSwan · 01/02/2023 21:39

I’d change the cabinets to arsenic or whirlybird and then do a neutral on the balls.

LemonSwan · 01/02/2023 21:39

🤣 great typo not even going to correct

ApolloandDaphne · 01/02/2023 21:39

And our tiles have a pink tinge.

reluctantbrit · 01/02/2023 21:42

White/pale cream
very soft pale pink
very pale grey maybe
definitely no yellow

Cremeeggeater · 01/02/2023 21:45

I would do sage green on the walls to match!!

Spinxsta · 01/02/2023 21:58

I do like the pink but I'm not sure my husband will go for it!!

@Spinxsta my DH chose our tiles! To be fair they didn't look pink until we put them up.

LemonSwan · 01/02/2023 22:05

Ooo LOVE the green on green!

What’s the worst that can happen 🤷‍♀️

You should do it!
