Help me choose a colour for the kitchen walls!

Can someone help me choose a paint to go with our sage green kitchen cupboards, please!

I feel boring and stuck in an interior design rut. Throw me a line of inspiration.

Rural cottage if that helps.

Parchment or Old White

paintitallover · 01/02/2023 22:23

White is very practical in a kitchen and easy to touch up. Perfect with green, and less "ice cream" than pink. Clay shades would work. You need to bear in mind the aspect of the room-north and east rooms can look hardship with cold tones, even of whites.

  • harsh!

Nowt wrong with pale pink. Our last kitchen was, and new one is too, with green units. Looks great, and was chosen by DH, as I am congenitally unable to make decisions 😁

Spinxsta · 01/02/2023 22:44

I just mentioned pink to DH and he seemed receptive!

Something with a pink / neutral tone such as a dried plaster colour? F&B and Craig & Rose both have a plaster / setting plaster etc colour available

Not too “pink” then so easier to convince DH?

Big fan of F&B myself due to its subtle colour changes depending on light

prettyrainbows · 02/02/2023 08:17

Farrow and Ball Wimborne White
Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Grey (beautiful warm neutral goes with most colours. Like a soft stone colour)
You can get these colour matched cheaper!

prettyrainbows · 02/02/2023 08:19

This is Edgecomb. One of my favourite neutrals.

@prettyrainbows where would you get Benjamin Moore paints From?

ChatSamosa · 02/02/2023 08:27

I've just painted my kitchen in Little Greene 'Green Stone -Light'

QualityTweet · 02/02/2023 10:32

Check out Dulux Egyptian Cotton. Not a million miles away from the Benjamin Moore paint colour above. I have it paired with F & B Pigeon in my kitchen.

VickerishAllsort · 02/02/2023 11:14

For the record ours is Farrow & Ball Tailor Tack - palest of pales with a slight warmth.

They are a company in the UK that colour match any make of paint. I've had endless Benjamin Moore and Farrow and Ball colour matches from them at a fraction of the price of the brands - and the colour and quality of the paint is amazing.

Floofyduffypuddy · 02/02/2023 11:44

Brilliant thank

That's lovely. Hadn't seen that one.

mug2018 · 02/02/2023 11:52

Definitely a dusty rose pink

Spinxsta · 02/02/2023 12:11

I really like pale pink as it's something different. But I'm not sure if we'd need a contract wall 🤔

Sky blue, with something red in there too, like a vase or bowl.

Spinxsta · 08/02/2023 23:43

We went with dusky pink/ almost a fresh plaster colour! Just put the first coat on this evening but quite happy with the colour so far!
