I have to turn right, walk all round the square, up the main road and then about ½ mile later I'm down a cul-de-sac that has no loop out!

Can go left as after 5m it's the road...

I attach a diagram... because I MN properly Grin

I think about 2 miles in several directions. Lots of underpasses and housing estates to walk through.
Want to try it now.

tornadoinsideoutfig · 29/01/2023 12:12

Miles, if I just keep left or keep right and follow the road. Or do you mean somewhere I'd actually want to go?

AmberGer · 29/01/2023 12:12

2 steps

Numbersarefun · 29/01/2023 12:13

If I have to walk on a pavement, then nowhere. (My road has no pavements on either side.)

NeverDropYourMooncup · 29/01/2023 12:14

2k exactly. Nice steady incline, flattened peak and decline too, so it's a perfect circuit.

RedToothBrush · 29/01/2023 12:14

Can walk to school.

Where else is this important/relevant?

Needmorelego · 29/01/2023 12:15

"Around the block" which would take about 3 mimutes to walk. I am technically on an island with roads as a moat 🙂.

NoDairyNoProblem · 29/01/2023 12:15

Right or left I could get caught in some odd infinite loop but in reality 0.3k would bring me back to my house.

poppym12 · 29/01/2023 12:15

Miles. I live beachfront. I do have to cross a driveway though so maybe that counts as a road, meaning not very far at all.

swedex · 29/01/2023 12:16

Very far! I've got forest behind me which leads to a nature reserve so can walk very far without ever seeing road or other people!

Just idle curiosity really....

It's not important to me that getting to school has no roads to cross.

Me too. Reckon my block would take me about 7 minutes to circumnavigate.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 29/01/2023 12:18

There are no paths on my street so if that counts then zero distance. If I’m allowed out of my street then miles and miles.

Anywhere. The furthest you can get without crossing a road:)

Down my road along the main road and up the one that runs parallel back to my house in an endless loop. It's about a kilometre

SnowyGiveAway · 29/01/2023 12:19

If I'm allowed to cross the footpath - miles and miles and miles and miles. Until the mountains end, and there are a lot of mountains. Be interesting to see where I would wind up by the time I did come to a road! I think I would end several counties from where I started.

SinnerBoy · 29/01/2023 12:19

100 metres downhill.

25 metres uphill.

BeyondMyWits · 29/01/2023 12:19

I am in a cul-de-sac off a u shaped road that is off another road at the open end of the u... so about 300yards.

But, when the kids were younger, if we saw them across the road they could get to their friends house and then the park half a mile away without crossing another road.

PizzaNinja · 29/01/2023 12:19

Hmmm. About half a mile.

SisterAgatha · 29/01/2023 12:20

I could walk round in a large circle.

or cross one road and walk for about 50 miles. North London too!

Oldraver · 29/01/2023 12:21

Yes 'around the block', probably just under a mile

ghostyslovesheets · 29/01/2023 12:24

To school - no problem - out of house - turn right - onto cycle path, under underpass - turn right onto pavement - school it there

I can walk all the way into town (about 3-5 miles) town and further on huge retail park - nice walk along the canal and into the park

Tamarindtree · 29/01/2023 12:24

Miles! We live in the middle of nowhere!

ghostyslovesheets · 29/01/2023 12:24

on TO!

MrsSkylerWhite · 29/01/2023 12:24

About hundred steps one way, 20 the other.
