Ordered a suede affect jacket from mango.
Retails at £59
I paid £7 as it was listed as very good-thought I was getting a bargain
Jacket comes and the inside collar has these stains on and also the suede around sleeve looks like this?
I've told seller that she should be paying for postage as it's not as described
She disagrees and says it's in v good condition
Who is correct ?
I've included pics

Quite frankly I wouldn’t expect anything much for £7. Or the original £59. I’d just chuck it in the charity bag and forget about it.

MintChocCornetto · 23/01/2023 22:02

I'm not entirely sure what you were expecting for £7?

Were the marks described/ in photos?

There is no such thing as a bargain.

For £7 is it really worth your stress Confused

OnaBegonia · 23/01/2023 22:04

£7? let it go.

Dacadactyl · 23/01/2023 22:04

In no way is that jacket in good condition. If she has sold it as such, I would be downgrading her feedback.

It doesn't matter if it was 7 quid, if she says it's in good condition, it should be in good condition.

unclebuck · 23/01/2023 22:05

That is terrible and £7 is not nothing! I would ask for my money back and if they want the manky jacket they can pay return postage.

thebear1 · 23/01/2023 22:05

If it was described as being in very good condition then you deserve something as it clearly isn't in such condition. I tend not to spend on vinted what I don't mind losing if the item isn't quite what I expected.

That's not how Vinted works, buddy.

Moltenpink · 23/01/2023 22:07

I agree it’s not as described, but don’t you always have to pay return postage on vinted?

RoseValleyRambles · 23/01/2023 22:08

Don't haggle with the seller, you need to raise this with vinted which must be done within 2 days of receipt. If you've hit the 'everything is ok' button, or more than 2 days have passed, then I'm afraid you've had it and will just have to settle for negative feedback. Vinted gives you good protection but you have to register your issue quickly.

This is how it looks new

Meh, for £7 I’d be disappointed at it not being in the condition it was sold as but is it really noticeable when wearing it? I can’t actually see from the photos what the issues are to be honest!

QueenMabs · 23/01/2023 22:11

I can't see those photos clearly enough to see what the problem is.

I'd just sell it on to be honest.

Emptor caveat.

Send it back via evri (is pretty cheap) if you must!!

bombemma · 23/01/2023 22:12

Just clean it?

Nolosomi · 23/01/2023 22:14

You do get what you pay for however frustrating her fibs on the description were. Can you wash it? Definitely leave her bad feedback!

RichardsGear · 23/01/2023 22:15

Surely you can clean it with a suede cleaner? Even try a brush first? You're not going to get an immaculate suede jacket for 7 quid.

Xrays · 23/01/2023 22:21

Surely it would need a clean anyway? I couldn’t buy secondhand suede or leather and not get it dry cleaned. For £7 I think you’re expecting a lot.

hiredandsqueak · 23/01/2023 22:26

Steam and a good brush will sort out suede without too much effort if you don't want to pay for it to be cleaned. I can't see from the phostos what the issue is though.

Gymmum82 · 23/01/2023 22:28

I honestly can’t see an issue in the photos. For £7 I think you got a bargain. Just clean it

Fairydustandsparklylights · 23/01/2023 22:29

£7 and you’re moaning?!? You need to sort your life out.

HikingforScenery · 23/01/2023 22:32

i think the seller misled you by claiming it’s in very good condition. Can you not report on vinted?

EmmiJay · 23/01/2023 22:36

Thats not very good condition at all. Foundation (make up) marks on the collars are hard to remove especially from lining. A good dry cleaners should be able to do it though. I can see why it was sold for £7 tbh😬

Oblomov22 · 23/01/2023 22:46

Not good condition.

DottyLittleRainbow · 23/01/2023 22:54

Honestly I think the small marks will easily clean out and that you’ve still got a £59 jacket for £7 which is about 12% of the RRP. If you get a postage refund then the seller basically gets nothing. You can always leave accurate feedback.
