Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to go and get dressed to walk down to the little Asda for a top up shop. I've caught dd2's cold so been sat feeling sorry for myself for a while 🙄

When I get back there's a mountain of pots to wash, school shirts to iron and the kitchen generally needs a re-set.

I have a couple of small things to do for work, and Rainbows and Guides on Tuesday, and want to take off last week's nails too.

Both girls were planning a chilled day I think - homework's up to date so they can do as they please so long as they help cook tea.

We're having pork loin steaks with salad and garlic roast spuds 😋

Tonight, I'll either re-paint my nails, do another round of my blanket, or read my book...then have an early night 💤

What about all of you? 🙂

Morning @lucysmam sorry you caught the cold, so many bugs about right now.

I am still in bed as it's too cold to get up although the heating is on for a short burst. DH is off for a run in the hills with his mate. DD 16 will be doing a bit of revising and reading and Sunday chilling. DD 13 will do not much maybe some guitar practice.

I need to get up and sort washing as the machine was down in the week and now it's fixed I need to catch up. Kitchen is a state as we couldn't be bothered to tidy down last night.

Later is admin, light the fire and maybe an episode of Street Food with DD.

Just pondering dinner and thinking bolognaise pasta bake or halloumi fajitas..

Morning @lucysmam I love these posts!

I'm visiting my Dparents this weekend with my DS7. So it's been a nice slow morning so far but I'm about to go for a run. Then I'll shower and help my mum with Sunday lunch, pack the car up and head home. So looking forward to dinner tonight as we're having a Chinese themed dinner to celebrate the Chinese New Year as DS has been learning about it in school this week. Once DS is in bed, I'll flop on the sofa and watch something easy. I quite like Sundays!

Eyebrow and moustache wax at 12,and then my first cold water dip! As the sea off central Scotland is not particularly warm at this time of year,it's going to be a challenge!
Then sis is doing a roast for lunch at mums so will head round there to recover.

Good morning Lucysmam. I have put a gammon joint in the slow cooker with a marinade of marmalade, pineapple juice and mustard. Shortly I'm heading out for brunch with a friend. Later I'll make a pineapple upside down cake. Then just chilling as I'm up at an ungodly hour tomorrow to collect my grandsons.

Good morning everyone. I’ve got a busy day today.

I need to go into town to buy a birthday present for dd8’s friend. Drop her off at the party at 1.30pm, pick her back up at 3.30pm, make a roast for tea, try to get through the huge washing mountain, iron school uniforms once washed and dried, clean the house as it’s a state (was too tired/delicate to do anything yesterday as dh and I went out for his birthday on Friday night). Supervise homework, then this evening I’m visiting my mum in hospital.

Yet I’m still sitting on the sofa in my pjs not wanting to move…

I'd been in a positive mood for a few days, though started feeling sad last night - hormones. Couldn't sleep until 5am.

Today - catching up on work. Setting the bar low, though might clean up or go a walk (if it stops raining).

Lazy morning so far, as we had friends over for dinner last night. I'll probably sort laundry, do a bit of yoga and tidy the garden up.

Going to do a food shop for the week, then go home and wash my hair and then clean the bathroom. Then a chilled afternoon.

Had a lie in until 10ish. DH took dog for morning walk (he will do this very occasionally!)
Pub lunch around midday with MIL who is visiting for a few days.
Then long walk with dog in a new location as it’s his birthday today!!
Drop MIL home - maybe look at submitting my tax return.

Just back from church, now heading to DM’s for lunch and dog walk. Need to send comfort parcel of posh stir fry sauces to DS at uni. Large pile of English books to mark this evening after His Dark Materials.

Morning all! Sorry to hear you're under the weather @lucysmam

My new cleaner started this morning (I'm disabled). She's so lovely but I'd forgotten how argh I get when these amazing people leave. Nothing is in its right place 😆 I'm just summoning up the energy to shift everything an inch or so back to their usual spots!

I've got an art project to crack on with if I can get my backside in gear but, for now, I shall continue to glare at things which are just left of centre! (But the lady is fab!)

I am planning to go through the freezer and list everything in it so I can meal plan. So much food here that is just ignored for fresher options. Have laundry and floors to vacuum and mop but that will be after myself, OH and dogs are all walked. Kids had friends over last night so the place is a sight. After that just dinner, wine, tv and bed. Not the most exciting Sunday.

I've got a chilli in the slow cooker, need to tidy up the mess I've made, despite cleaning kitchen before I started 😅.
Was planning to do some work on laptop to catch up before Monday , but have a gnawing pain in my side and feeling a bit rubbish, think I may have a uti. Will probably just do some tidying and languish on the couch all day in between bursts of energy 🤔

Stalking a puppy to put it outside to pee every half hour, and trying to survive the day without being eaten alive by said puppy. It's day 10 and I have puppy blues today!

Actually this thread isn't helping as it's making me long for my pre puppy Sundays that would've involved a lovely walk, pub roast lunch and a chilled afternoon 😩

Morning @lucysmam .

We've just got home from church and had lunch so DC having a bit of a chill and screentime.

I'm parcelling up some more bits that have sold on vinted and will pop down to post them in a little while.

DC need to do homework this afternoon then it's the usual Sunday chores of making sure all uniform is ready, bags packed etc.

Enchiladas for dinner, or fajitas not decided yet, both pretty similar.

Then my Sunday ritual of gin, bath, book and bed! I want to start my new book this evening, have heard good reviews, it's "a terrible kindness" and it's about the tragedy of aberfan.

Had a lie in this morning, breakfast, then prepared a chicken casserole to go in the oven later. Cleaned toilet and bathroom, made lunch and now chilling. Going to finish jigsaw this afternoon before dd, sil and dgd come round for a cuppa. Trying to persuade my elderly dad and stepmum to come round too. Love Sunday nights with Call the Midwife and Happy Valley to watch with some yummy birthday chocolates!

Morning @lucysmam, happy Sunday!

Reasonably chilled out here today too. DS1 is in bed, watching TV and somehow trashing the room we cleaned for him yesterday. I may need an alibi later...

DS2 in bed, still asleep I think. He went out with friends yesterday evening so he won't have much motivation today. He has coursework he will have to do when he surfaces though.

DS3 has just had lunch and now headed upstairs for a shower and to get changed.

DD has a friend over, they're doing goodness knows what on Minecraft on their iPads. DDs iPad was a Christmas present and the novelty hasn't worn off yet. She has homework to do tonight too!

DH has gone to the tip after emptying all the rubbish from the garage. He's also been setting up my dashcam cables for me, so they're not flapping around everywhere. He'll be doing the ironing when he gets home.

I'm faffing on MN, waiting for NHS 111 to phone me back about DD as she hurt her foot on Wednesday and still won't stand/walk on it. She's been to minor injuries but I'm not 100% happy with the diagnosis so need to find out how I go about having her looked at again.

How old are your girls OP? Is their Dad around to help you? Also how many pots do you own? I cut mine right down and now make quite a few one pot meals. Saves on room in the dishwasher.

Been a quiet, hot day here. Glad to get to bed!

I've taken the kids out to visit family for lunch. Now home again, everyone's watching telly. Really want to spend some time cleaning but DH is working and the toddler will just come behind me making twice as much mess as I can clean!

I am having a cuppa and DS16 is tidying his room. I have the fire on and am feeling cosy but need to walk the dog. It is flipping cold out. The dog is freaked out by the fire as is her way.

i have swept and mopped the floors downstairs this morning and had a friend over for lunch which was nice.

Not sure what’s for tea.

Planning a soak in the bath this evening.
