At what age did your DC grow taller than you?

Dd is 11 and taller than me.

I suspect she may slow down with her growing soon but I had hoped for a couple more years with her being shorter than me!

DS is 13 and has 1cm before he's the same as me.

Two boys. About 15 I think. I’m 5ft 7ins and they are both well over 6ft.

My nearly 12 year old is currently the same height as me (5ft 5). She might surpass me before her birthday.

Ds probably around 14, I am taller than my dds (14 and 16), and it seems like I will remain taller than them. I am taller than my DH as well, so it is not really unexpected.

My DS is 12 and just overtook me which must put him at about 5ft 8.

I’m 5/7 and I reckon ds will catch me by his 13th bday. Conversely I don’t expect dd to ever be as tall as me. She’s only average height and I reckon will top out at 5/4.

I'm 5 ft 5 and my dd overtook me at age 11, she's currently 5 ft 8 at age 13.
My DS age 15 has only just overtaken me.

DS overtook me a couple of months ago at 13/very nearly 14. I'm 5ft 10 so quite tall myself. DH is 6ft 3 so he's still got some way to go still, but I have no doubt he'll end up taller than him too.

My dd is 19 and will never be taller than me!
Ds however is about 5 inches taller than me and has been since he was 13/14 probably (is now 16)

I am 5'6" and dd is only about 5'3" whereas ds is about 5'11". He is also taller than dh who is 5'10"

I over took my mother before I left primary school, and my father shortly after. (167cm, I'm 170cm)

My eldest is 11.5yo and 150cm approx. Nearly 10yo is 140cmish.

They haven't yet, they are 19 (DS) and 17 (DD). We are all fairly short. I never overtook my mum either.

I literally just did DSDs hair about half an hour ago and I'm aghast that I noticed she's now taller than me. She's 11. Surely she's going to slow down soon!

Same here. He's nearly 14 now and there's probably 2 inches difference.

My daughter has been my height, 5’5” since about 13, and my son was taller than me by 13/14.

Why would you want another couple of years with her shorter than you?

Our family seem to buck the trend, we are all quite small in modern terms. DH 5'11", me 5'5" and my two Dd's both 5'3". Most of the cousins on both sides also around same heights. Grandparents were too Maybe mix of Italian genes.... One family also mix of Malay.... So all in the shorter side.

DD just turned 11 is now my height (165cm)

We visit Paeds regularly due to ongoing health conditions. Last visit placed her on 99th centile for height.

Me 5.2ins,then (have lost an inch now in my 70s. First born DD, Same height as me at 9, now 6ft.

My ds is 14 and he's just overtaken me but I am 5ft10 I think 1 dd will get taller than me and the other won't.

My 10yo is only a couple of cm below me but I am short! Luckily my youngest is very small for his age so I might get longer of being taller for him. DH is only 5 ft 7 so I'm not expecting our kids to be tall although my dad and brother are both over 6ft

DS1 about 12, DS2 is 12 now and still a way off.

DS overtook me at 14.
DD will never be taller than me. However she reached her adult height at age 10, so if she'd been taller, she would have overtaken me by then :)
