What’s Happening In Your House?

Hope everyone’s having a nice Fri evening so far. Just got back from Tescos with DH & it was actually good fun - we don’t often go together. He’s cooking tonight ( ham & cheese omelettes & chips). He makes a mean omelette! I’m really tired as I wasn’t very well yesterday & had a rubbish night so will be in bed fairly early I reckon. Just got back into “ Married At First Sight Australia” which is totally addictive but DH hates it so we’ll probably watch Greys Anatomy. Oh & Corrie, although the storylines are getting increasingly silly!
Has anyone got any plans for the weekend? I’m not working tomorrow & will be making a slow cooker chicken tagine . Bought couscous to go with it. Have to drive DD14 out into the sticks for a sleepover so hopefully the Sat Nav will do it’s thing! Working Sunday til 1.30 then I might get stuck into some decluttering. Upstairs in our house is like a jumble sale! I need Stacey Solomon! We’re having an Iceland pork crackling joint, roasties with rosemary & garlic seasoning, cauliflower cheese, roast carrots & petitpois for tea. Always look forward to “ Call The Midwife”. Ideal Sunday night viewing.

I'm listening to The Killers, Wonderful Wonderful, in the kitchen. Both girls have just done their maths homework down here & are now talking over my music 🙄🤯

I'm off for a shower shortly, dd1 will get in later, and dd2's already been in.

After I shower, I want to do at least the next round of the blanket I'm making myself, and read some more of my book. Dd2 will probably call her friends & dd1 wants to update something to do with The Sims but I wasn't properly listening when she told me what 🤷‍♀️🙈

cheesenpickle · 20/01/2023 19:16

Tomorrow we might ho to the cinema in the afternoon and then to sil for dinner. Sunday nothing planned, its lovely to just have a chilled weekend not rushing around or doing chores of some description.

Two youngest will go to bed soon and I'm going at the same time. I get cluster headaches and today has been awful.

My eldest two will entertain themselves and dp will watch TV. Gutted as I was looking forward to an evening of crafting with my oldest two as company.

Enjoy your evenings everyone x

gravyriceandchips · 20/01/2023 19:23

Drinking wine surfing mumsnet.

DH watching the godfather part 2 on the sofa next to me. I'm not invested in it as I haven't seen the first one.

Dd playing on the vr upstairs with her friend who is in her house.

I need to work out to get them to be able to connect to each other online

MeghanThyStallion · 20/01/2023 19:24

I've finished work, just finished dinner and am MNing on the sofa while researching French camps for DS.

DH just got home and is on the other sofa eating dinner.

DS is in his hovel playing Minecraft online with his friends from school.

DD is invading my personal space and watching YouTube makeup tutorials. The one she's got on now is about shaving your lipstick into a heart shape Confused

User16458769 · 20/01/2023 19:29

Not a lot, DH is away this week so I am watching telly, I am watching Call the Midwife which I haven't watched all of yet, I had a M&S ready meal and some cake for dinner and very pleasant it was too.

7Worfs · 20/01/2023 19:31

Dinner was at 5pm - pork chops with mash and vegetables.
Teeth and baths/showers at 6pm.
Pre-schooler asleep in his room, baby attached to me, also asleep.
I’m in my rocking chair about to watch a film, husband is playing a game on his computer; rubbernecking I can see he’s fighting a giant spider. I think it’s RuneScape.

watcherintherye · 20/01/2023 19:31

It’s curry time chez nous - yay! Looking forward to a yummy veg korma.

Elvira2000 · 20/01/2023 19:31

Drinking wine surfing mumsnet. Snap!

Dh watching border patrol. Dog sleeping. Dd drawing on the Ipad.

User16458769 · 20/01/2023 19:33

OP, I see you like Call the Midwife, it's very good isn't it, I'm on series 9 now and have hopes of catching up to the latest series in a few days as DH isn't here to distract me.

wtfisgoingonhere21 · 20/01/2023 19:34

Dh just about to leave for work but he's been gaming upstairs since I got in from work so not seen him a lot ,dd1 in her room on her phone no doubt and dd2 sat with dd1 I think

I've had a nice hour sat downstairs with dogs watching two doors down while catching up with emails and calendar.

Just had a lovely wrap for tea and about to sit for the rest of the evening reading my book.

Heading to bed early cause it's bloody cold and I'm working tomorrow morning

AllotmentTime · 20/01/2023 19:35

Drinking wine surfing mumsnet - yep!

DC (9&6) have persuaded me that they could get all ready for bed and then have a bit more screen time. I let them.

DH is watching tennis upstairs. Either live or highlights?? Not sure.

I’m about to shout BEDTIME and then DH will do DS’s stories, before coming down to join me for pizza and Happy Valley.
And then we will need to watch something else because I can’t watch HV right before bed, it’s too intense!

Everyonehasavoice · 20/01/2023 19:36

I’m about to make pizzas
Hubby trying to make a fire…bless…he ll never learn
19yr old writing 3min play for Uni entry. ( we have to act it tomorrow🤣🤣🤣…we can’t act.)
Other 19yr old, no idea…in room…it’s all very quiet. I dare say he’ll surface for food

Enjoy your evenings.

Andrelaxzzz · 20/01/2023 19:36

Very boring weekend for me. Dry boring January not finding it hard just a bit dull.
Just got back from a light instillation that was really cool but only took 15 mins to see.
I hate being in on Friday nights, but weirdly nothing planned. Two of the teens have friends over so may get them to play a game of liars dice.
Will probably watch some tv, play a game, do a cryptic crossword badly and cuddle the dogs.

AllotmentTime · 20/01/2023 19:38

Oh and DCat is flaked out on the sofa after a hard day of being batshit crazy. DS is jumping about like a lunatic next to her but she never moves a muscle, soundest sleeping cat I ever knew.

Twattergy · 20/01/2023 19:48

Finished n intense week of work. Made quick dinner for DS and his playdate. Then made my dinner - prawn curry yum. DH is away so the dog is asleep on the sofa (not really allowed ) and DS and I will watch some Netflix soon. Tired and looking forward to being asleep by 10.

cheeseisthebest · 20/01/2023 19:48

Son, 11, on screen ban so playing basketball in his room, got a mini bedroom basketball netfor Christmas. Daughter, 15, making a dress in her bedroom, I'm cuddling dog and mumsnetting, husband on phone telling me what the weather is going to be like tomorrow. We all had fajitas for tea but they were bit dry cos I forget to get the dips.
We will all watch Death in Paradise later, my daughters favourite programme!

Splcam · 20/01/2023 19:48

Drinking wine and surfing mumsnet, natch.

At work all day, started at 8.30 and no coffee or lunch breaks til I left at 5.30. Was able to get out early because, though I still have things to do, I can catch up on Sunday.

Watching TOTP on BBC4 (it's Friday, its totp etc.) Having lunch tomorrow with mom and other family.

Might pop to Boots to get some probiotics. And I have a nest of tables from ebay to pick up from click and collect.

God its dreary, innit? The more I type the more it devolves into an Alan Bennett monologue.

Yeah scratch all that. I'm gonna freebase cocaine off the gas hob and go on a panty raid.

RandomUsernameHere · 20/01/2023 19:48

DD and DS each had a friend round for a play date/supper this evening. DH and I now snacking in front of the TV. We will have an early night and watch a film or something. Tomorrow DH and DS have football, DD and I are going for lunch with my DParents.

Stranmonty · 20/01/2023 19:50

DH and ds out at football. I'm waiting for Tesco delivery - very icy out.

VioletLemon · 20/01/2023 19:51

Lying on Oody on sofa as temperature goes from roasting to really cold, got a cold, sipping Beecham with 2 cats and binge watching The Detectorists which is new to me, I'm loving it. DP is making apple pie which I'm looking forward to. Will wfh tomorrow before masked singer, beef slow cooked casserole, on now. Sunday hopefully a long beach walk, home for roast pork and Call the Midwife & Happy Valley. Weekend of staving this lurgy off with major food and body temperature focus it seems. Enjoy everyone.

mynameiscalypso · 20/01/2023 19:54

I'm knackered after a full on week at work (emotionally drained rather than physically tired). DS has gone to bed quietly, he's starting with a cold poor thing. DH is out for the night with his best mate. I imagine it will be a late/boozy one. I'm just about to eat pizza and watch Landscape Artist of the Year.

InFiveMins · 20/01/2023 19:57

Sounds like a nice weekend planned OP Smile

I made spaghetti bolognese for tea and we are just having a chilled, quiet evening. Just about to put Corrie on and start to wind down. Won't be in bed late as got an early start tomorrow, meeting friends for a walk and some lunch.

gravyriceandchips · 20/01/2023 19:57

I'm googling polestar cars as I am
Swapping my company car for one tomorrow with someone who has left the business.

Any advice and tips would
Be appreciated I've never had a lecky car before but the tax is slower than my current car so I agreed.
