Nervous wreck waiting on nipt results

I’m expecting a call this afternoon to tell me the results of nipt after a high risk combined test. I just don’t know what to do with myself. This has been the worst week of my life and the closer it gets to getting the results the more nervous I get. I barely slept last night and I haven’t been able to eat a thing.

Has anyone else gone through this?

Yes I have, was given a one in 15 chance, one of the most stressful waits of my life. It's her birthday today and she's fine. Hoping yours goes the same way.

I’m currently in the same boat had a high risk come through Friday with higher end of the scale back of neck measurement at 2.7mm then high hcg and low pappa. Results are 1 in 80 hoping results come back this week but as the days go on the anxiety is definitely getting worse. Hope you get a good outcome it’s horrendous just waiting x

Had Nipt test done on tues . I have been given 1 in 17 chance of down syndrome. Cant enjoy the prgnancy now . The wait is agony and i just keep thinking im going to be the 1 .. i cant switch off . Im 40 .. just beginning of the month .

@Busymamsince99 your age will be a big factor- I know how hard it is having gone through this only a few weeks ago but please try not to panic! We had 1/5 chance of downs and ended up having amniocentesis- I was worried sick but all came back ok and baby doesn't have it x

Thankyou, the waiting is awful,i cant sleep and i cant concentrate on anything else . Hope the results come before the 10 days they told me .

@Busymamsince99 yeah they will, they told us they say 10 days to give you enough time to receive the letter.

I'm terrible at maths but if you think our 1/5 works out there was 80% chance the baby was ok, yours will be higher then that- 90 something %. X

@Busymamsince99 I know and I really wish I could say something to make you feel better 😫 I'm keeping everything crossed for you tho, hopefully you find out early next week.
Try and keep busy if you can- make some nice plans for the weekend to try and take your mind off things x

Keeping busy like you suggested . It my daughters 22 birthday today and my sons 16th tomorrow .. im hoping i dont get bad news tomorrow x

I rang the hospital today and my results arent back . Its been 7 days , it can take up to 14 they said. My head is done in over it x

I bet it is love 😭 It will be any day now- 14 days is worst case. I know you're going through absolute torture right now and I'm here for you x

It's natural to think the worst but honestly, your baby could be completely healthy and just giving mama a scare.

Have you tried calling ARC? I didn't use them but apparently they are amazing to talk to when you're going through this hell. And might help as no one in real life knows apart from your dp x

I know its just the not knowing . I want to be able to enjoy the peegnancy and i cant at the moment x
