Bolognaise made 3 days ago, kept in fridge and reheated for lunch today. There's enough left for me and DC.

Is it safe to freeze?

yes - YANBU to freeze it
no - YABU, it's been a second time, throw it.

Not unless I was completely skint

7Worfs · 03/01/2023 12:16

Not after the reheating

mumpower3 · 03/01/2023 12:18

Nope , its been reheated.

mynameiscalypso · 03/01/2023 12:21

I would happily freeze it if it's not been frozen before.

gamerchick · 03/01/2023 12:23

No.

I wouldn't eat Bolognese that had been made 3 days ago either though.

TheFlis12345 · 03/01/2023 12:24

Yup I would and have done similar before.

Wilkolampshade · 03/01/2023 12:25

Yep. Would have no problem with this.

PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister · 03/01/2023 12:25

Yup! Freeze away!

Wilkolampshade · 03/01/2023 12:25

Yep. Would have no problem with this.

hedgehoglurker · 03/01/2023 12:25

No, not after reheating.

Coconut212 · 03/01/2023 12:26

Yes as it’s not been frozen

MrsJBaptiste · 03/01/2023 12:26

Did you reheat it all and then take a portion out for you? Or just take some out for yourself and just heat that?

jmh740 · 03/01/2023 12:27

Yes it will be fine

SheWoreYellow · 03/01/2023 12:28

Yes, but with a note to say ‘eat immediately’.

SlipperSchlepper · 03/01/2023 12:28

Yes i do it all the time. Can't believe all the people saying no. I thaw and re freeze stuff all the time including meat. Never ever had a problem.

Really!?! Confused

What do you think a ready meal is or what you get in a restaurant? Or even the refrigerated sauces in a supermarket

chipsandpeas · 03/01/2023 12:31

id freeze it

paulmccartneysbagel · 03/01/2023 12:31

If it hadn't been reheated I would say it's fine - 3 days on the fridge is okay I think? But food should only be reheated once.

purpledalmation · 03/01/2023 12:39

I wouldn't risk it, but it would most likely be ok if thoroughly reheated. Not the pasta though, just the meat.

HappyTalkingTalkingHappyTalk · 03/01/2023 12:46

No. Not after reheating.
Portion and freeze when freshly made then you can defrost and use as needed, saves the waste.

20viona · 03/01/2023 12:53

@gamerchick I agree!

RuthW · 03/01/2023 12:58

I wouldn't have eaten it today

keepaweatheredeye · 03/01/2023 13:17

I'd happily refreeze or reheat it.

Have worked in food safety for a long time!

Can I ask how many times it is safe to reheat things like this please? I was always told you can only reheat once but I know my granny used to reheat things more often than that.
