The most basic logic surely dictates there isn't going to be an uncorrected swear word blasted out on the radio etc or in a popular song. Reading the actual lyrics of any song is merely a google search away so there's limited excuse for all these 'hilarious' 'misheard' song lyrics IMO.

I know it's pumpkin, as I looked it up, (it couldn't be f* ing pie) but all I ever hear is the naughty word!

Really bizarre but when I listened to the song, if I had the word "pumpkin" in my head as I know it says, I can clearly hear pumpkin.

Rewind it back but this time with the word "fuckin" in my head and I can heard the word fuckin in the song. Like one of those ear trick things you get online.

My 9 year old thought this! She kept missing out the word pumpkin and I asked her why and she said because she's singing a naughty word. I asked her why she would be singing that and she said 'I don't know, I thought maybe she really disliked pie'

I had a festive fact in my cracker that said that Brenda Lee was just 13 years old when this was recorded.
