Ferrero Rocher or Terry's Chocolate Orange - which do you prefer?

If neither, say neither. I'm asking because I have a box of 24 FR all to myself. I've already scoffed two. I don't have a TCO.

I'm sitting on the fence. Equally good.

TCO hands down (preferably a dark chocolate one). Don't like FR at all.

WarningToTheCurious · 28/12/2022 11:35

TCO - but it has to be the dark one.

I’ll thrown Toblerone into the mix as well - I’ve got an orange ginger one to look forward too.

BlastedPimples · 28/12/2022 11:35

Ferrero every single time.

Ferrero, I don’t like orange flavoured chocolate.

Moonpies · 28/12/2022 11:37

Ferrero

HoldingTheDoor · 28/12/2022 11:37

Ferrero Rocher. I'm not a big fan of either but I hate TCO and I'd rather go without chocolate than eat one.

Deadringer · 28/12/2022 11:37

I hate Ferrero Roche and I don't know why because I like chocolate and I love nuts, I think it's the Nutella spread stuff inside. Terry's chocolate orange for me.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/12/2022 11:38

TCO!

theluckiest · 28/12/2022 11:39

TCO used to be the pinnacle of chocolatey goodness.

I don't know what they've done to it but the last one I had was disgusting. Chocolate all synthetic and sickly and you don't get the flaky middle any more...

Sad times

donttalkaboutbookclub · 28/12/2022 11:39

Neither

WildRosie · 28/12/2022 11:40

I like Toblerone too, probably more than FR and TCO.

gogohmm · 28/12/2022 11:40

Fr over the two (didn't get any, only a tco) but Toblerone would have trumped both

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 28/12/2022 11:41

FR.
TCO taste weird and greasy now 😔

givethistokevin · 28/12/2022 11:41

No the oranges are slimy these days.

FR all the way

Mxflamingnoravera · 28/12/2022 11:42

Neither. I discovered these in a gift over Christmas, it takes chocolate orange to a new level. There's no going back for me...

Mxflamingnoravera · 28/12/2022 11:44

I once had to go to a drinks party at the ambassador's residence in Say Paulo, I found a shop that sold FR and took some so I could get a pic of me with them...
I didn't eat them, greasy, nutty, yuk to me.

wonkylegs · 28/12/2022 11:47

Neither - have never liked them, neither does DH or DS1 - hate the centre of FR and don't like orange chocolate
6yo DS likes TCO

Tillow4ever · 28/12/2022 11:47

Terrys chocolate orange! Love them, but also hate Ferraro Rocher (I don't like nuts) so it's an easy choice!

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 28/12/2022 11:48

Neither. TCOs are horrible these days.

xalo · 28/12/2022 11:50

Ferrero Rocher - a triumph of marketing- the cheapest nastiest chocolate.
TCO - only marginally better imo

ChristmasCakeAndStilton · 28/12/2022 11:52

Neither. Both are grim.

I'll eat the Toblerone suggestions tho.

SagelyNodding · 28/12/2022 11:52

TCO for life! Well, my memories of them as I can't find them where I live!
Ferrero Rocher are trash chocolates: greasy, gritty balls of sadness in a fancy wasteful plastic box 🙂

isthismylifenow · 28/12/2022 11:53

I bought a TCO recently at an exorbitant price because I'm not in the UK. I've not been so disappointed in a very long time. What have they done to them, it was quite gross. You know it's bad when it's left in the cupboard and not even the DC want it!

I'm not the biggest FR fan, but they are quite moreish once you get going.

So i buy neither but for sure the FR takes top spot from these choices.

Bythehairywartsonmywitchychin · 28/12/2022 11:57

Both. But FR have to be the original ones.

Funnily enough, I’ve just noticed a leaflet at the bottom of the FR box that they are doing FR bars, can’t see them being as good as the individual chocolates.

Whiteminnowfish · 28/12/2022 11:57

Definitely Ferraro. I ate a whole box (small box) to myself on boxing day
