Is there an odd 'dizzy' bug atm?

Every time I sit or stand up I get really dizzy, I have no other symptoms

It's a bit odd, kind like being drunk (i don't drink at all)

Is it something going round?

I got that with the tail end of the horrible bug that’s going around.

30not13 · 26/12/2022 14:21

I've had that for the past few weeks, I've no other symptoms assist from this, assumed was maybe sinusitis starting but nothing no.
Had some low level tinnitus start this morning too.

So interested to hear others opinions.

I had that for a couple of weeks after having covid, it was such a strange feeling.

I had this last week! Every time I tried to walk, I felt like I was in a wonky house. Even had to have my arms out in front of myself to steady myself.

I tested positive for Covid two days later.

Stupidquestion1 · 26/12/2022 14:34

I have that and tiredness - and positive for covid.

KatyMac · 26/12/2022 14:49

Oh poo! I don't have time for covid again especially if I get it like I had last time

Will painkillers help?

Salamander91 · 26/12/2022 14:59

Yep covid here too unfortunately. Most of us took it mildly but my 5 year old has been dizzy for several days and sleeping a lot. Hope you don't get it too bad

Weepingwillowtree99 · 26/12/2022 15:08

I have it after a horrendously heavy period. It's like being on the waltzers and he feeling that my legs will give way.

Sparklefoof · 26/12/2022 15:12

I'm just out the tail end of covid and after 2 days of feeling abit better from the cold / coughing phase and thinking it was almost over have today woken up really dizzy, sick and spaced out.

SoundsInTheDay · 26/12/2022 15:13

Are you pregnant?

WeAreAllSpecksOnARock · 26/12/2022 15:16

I’ve had that recently and it lasted ages. I thought it was maybe vertigo or something, but my DHs friend had it exactly the same time as me so I started to think it might have been a bug as it was a strange coincidence we had the same symptoms.

RainbowCrayons · 26/12/2022 15:16

I had it with an ear infection. Not covid but still unpleasant and had to have antibiotics and steroids to clear it up. Lasted about 3 weeks then I got another cough from DS. Joys of toddlers.

itsgettingweird · 26/12/2022 15:27

I have it.

I was beginning to wonder if it was a virus.

Kept waking in night and every time I stood up my forehead was really painful.

Woken up today with empty head feeling and my shoulders, arms and top of back feel like I've been lifting ten tonne weights in the gym.

I've spent most of the day sleeping in little shifts.

ny20005 · 26/12/2022 15:33

Labrynthitis? I get it on its own or after a bad viral infection

Ormally · 26/12/2022 15:36

Most covid sufferers at the moment are reporting a few days feeling like this.

Sinuses, back teeth or ears have also been known to cause this with me.

HashBrownandBeans · 26/12/2022 15:37

My DH had a cold that affected his ears and made him dizzy last week

Knockmealdowns · 26/12/2022 15:38

Travel sickness tablets help me.. I get this every time I get a virus.. for over 10 years now.. it’s rotten.. o went to doctors who did mri and nothing sinister, diagnosed with vestibular neuritis, do Excercise that make me dizzier off you tube and take ecitoprazolam every day and stemital if I have a bout and am flying or long journey ..

KatyMac · 26/12/2022 16:29

Well at least I'm not alone in this - I wish you all better (me included)

Yes I've been sleeping on and off & I am definitely not pregnant (54, menopausal with no ovaries!)

I havent tried a painkiller yet but I am thinking I might, maybe

Test for covid.

TiredButAlive · 26/12/2022 16:34

Yes. I've just got it today. My son had it yesterday. It appears to be a 24 hour bug.

Damnloginpopup · 26/12/2022 17:58

Labrynthitis

WelshDaffodil · 26/12/2022 18:06

Also Covid/dizzy here.

MuhMuh · 26/12/2022 18:07

That was the start of a sinus infection for me.

nicky2512 · 26/12/2022 18:12

I’m so dizzy it’s horrible. I had covid in November (ill for round a week before testing positive). Dizziness has still not gone.

I have this. I thought it was a fibromyalgia flare but maybe not 🤔
