Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, brown bread and 1/2 bottle champagne for brunch, 12 mini macaroons during the day and about to have beef that's been in the sous vide all day with roasties, YP, honey and mustard carrots, braised cabbage and gravy. Might squeeze in another mini macaroon after!!

ladywithnomanors · 25/12/2022 18:35

Pain au chocolat and a pain au raisin with strawberries and pineapple.

Christmas dinner :- roast chicken, gingerbread stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, maple syrup carrots and parsnips, sprouts, gravy.

Couple of quality street and a matchmaker.

Waiting till the kids go to bed then going to sit down with a leftovers sandwich and some pringles

BobbitWorm · 25/12/2022 18:46

Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel for breakfast. Dinner was out and pate on toast to start, followed by traditional turkey dinner (which was huge and too much) followed by what I could pick at from a cheese board (it was already paid for so it felt like a waste at least not trying).

The leftover turkey from mine abd DSs meals has been brought home for the dogs. There was A LOT.

SnuggleBuggleBoo · 25/12/2022 18:48

The worlds greediest hot chocolate
A flat bread, smashed avocado, 2 mozzarella and tomato parcels
A small home made banana muffin

We all have covid and are utterly wiped out so no Christmas dinner today

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 25/12/2022 18:49

@BobbitWorm sounds lovely! Is it ok for dogs to eat turkey? I can never remember and DDog was eyeing the left overs earlier?

Breakfast - smoked trout & Philadelphia bagel
Snack - Dips & tortilla chips
Late lunch - spiced topside of beef, roasties, parsnips & chantenay carrots in a maple syrup & thyme glaze, petitpois, sprouts ( only for DH), beef gravy.
Will have a cold beef sandwich later with cold roasties on the side.

LibertyLily · 25/12/2022 18:52

Peach bellini for breakfast, then not much except a New Berry fruit and some twiglets (cheesy footballs for DH) till we ate Christmas lunch at 4pm as we decided that with only ourselves to please we could eat late.

For dinner - lobster halves with a buttered brown roll and lemon, then rib of beef, roast potatoes, honey parsnips, carrots, sprouts, pigs in blankets and stuffing.

A mini wispa from DH's selection box.

We were going to have supper of cold beef sandwiches later but I don't think I'll bother as still feeling stuffed.

BobbitWorm · 25/12/2022 18:52

I hope so! They enjoyed it anyway. I think it's just if it is very seasoned, salty or the bones that can be problematic.

Summerishere123 · 25/12/2022 18:55

We had xmas dinner at the pub and wouldn't do it again. It wasn't good which is a shame as it was lovely last year at the same place which is within walking distance.
We had baked camembert for starter - served on its own with 3/4 tiny crouton scattered over.
Turkey dinner which was not nice
Chocolate tart which was sloppy and tasteless. All for £75 a head.
Now baking bread for pate.

IToldYouAmillionTimesAlready · 25/12/2022 18:56

B - grilled bacon, poached egg, baked beans
L - chicken Rogan Josh, small portion of rice, 1 Samosa, 1/2 pt of lager
Snacks - 2 mince pies, handful of Quality Street, Bailey's in coffee

No dinner

Pompomo · 25/12/2022 18:56

Had Christmas Dinner ridiculously early, as dh is working today.
Since then I've been eating cold roasties, pear sorbet and too many kettle crisps!

BCBird · 25/12/2022 18:56

Toast with peanut butter and banana
Rice,cockles and tuna
12 pigs in blankets and ketchup
Christmas pudding and custard

Robostripes · 25/12/2022 18:57

Buttered toast and two cups of tea first thing.
A few Doritos and dip this morning.
Champagne and Prosecco!
Full (vegetarian) Christmas dinner - vegetable wellington, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, sprouts, carrots and a Yorkshire pudding for good measure.
So stuffed after that I haven’t eaten anything since - but I plan to have pudding later. Everyone else had it about 4 (after main meal at 2) but I was still too full!

OldTinHat · 25/12/2022 18:57

Two crackers for breakfast. A microwave meal for one that was horrid and ended up in the bin, a handful of bombay mix and two chocolates.
